Hello guys.

First of all thanks for all the work around OpenPli. Amazing job.

I've purchased a DVB-C OSMINI box and everything went smooth but some HD channels have random artifacts while watching.

What can be the cause of it? I can debug if needed, just tell me how.

Anything known to this box that can make the artifacts (images attached)?

Thanks.

Looks like you need new coax cables and/or connectors...

Hello littlesat,

Well it happens in 2 places at my house and I tested in another place as well.

Signal is 96% to 99%

The same channel on the provider box works fine.

Golden media dvb-c box works fine too.

OSMini does not unfortunately. Tested several images (I prefer OpenPli) and they all got the same problem.

I even RMA the box to the store and the problem persists.

Tuner problem perhaps?

I can debug if needed.

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you please record few minutes of those channels (1 or 2 samples) and upload the recording?

Also please run the following command (from telnet) to get accurate signal informations.

opkg update && opkg install v4l-utils

dvb-fe-tool --femon -f 1

The first command will install v4l-utils, the second command will print Signal statistics.

It will keep printing the frontend statistics on every second, until the program is aborted with CTRL-C. About 20 samples should be enough.

Can you provide more details for your provider / channels?

In case you have another Enigma2 receiver can you grab the channel in order to compare samples?

It happens only on some channels, but always on HD.

Thanks
