At the end I was right, the problem had been added in git from changes in ATSC :)

Little satisfaction my zgemma continues to show N/A :(

Now test to change last parameter in 0.

Thx athoik, you explained well.

I know in the past with some brands of decoders also N/A was displayed. Then after doing an automatic scan the N/A was gone. Maybe this is also the solution nowadays ? I cannot test it since my receivers don't have this problem.

It is not necessary an automatic scan, just tune the channel, n/a disappear and the channel name appear. It's enough an "automatic zap" (in my case).

Right now there doesn't seem much point. i.e. if lamedb is in V5 format it reads it in fine at boot time,,, and then writes out in V4 at shutdown... crazy.

It is a feature under development. This is the downside of only having one "type" of image, so you have to bother users with WIP. We plan to address this when OpenPLi 5 is released.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Only solution I found is use git from 31-October ..for now last is unusable with N/A problem.

Waiting for solution.

"lame" ? what a name for a services data base

did you know that "TWAIN" (scanner driver) is also an acronym (even a backronym) for

Technology Without An Interesting Name

It is a "lame db", a database stored in a text file. So in this case, it sort of fits. ;)

I just noticed that after running iptv.sh script there is a lamebd5 file in etc/enigma2. Is this file necessary or can be deleted?

Yes but can the box run with just one lamedb? On old boxes memory is limited and seeing that lamedb5 seems a copy of lamebd maybe there is a way to use only one file.

It is not needed, box will run without it. I don't know how to stop it's creation.
