Thanks for the response, but are you using Oscam1.20 rev: 11277 (update)? The first oscam choice?

EDIT, never mind used a stable version :)

Pretty cool watching 3 streams from the same player. I guess I could watch 8 streams at different transponders the same time since it has 8 "tuners", but have only 2 the boxes (one being the UNO) and VLC on my PC. Very nice

WOW, how did you start 8 windows with VLC, Didn't even know it was possible. Yea and all is very, very snappy indeed.

I only have to start checking out how to use CI+ on the box with and configure Oscam on the box.

Does anyone have some easy quick tips. I understand there's tons of information about it, but IF any anyone has some quick and good information I'm all ears :)

Even my good ol'e dm8000 was happy to stream 10 services at a time. That's really no rocket science.

But not using just a single tuner for 10 services on different transponders :)

@_HarmeN I don't know if you're using oscam server but I can see that the UNO uses 3 ECM every time. And it switches channels, not on my TV, but in the "Last Channel List" in Oscam server. Is this normal?

I guess it uses fcc. It's fast channel change or something like that. With this feature channel change is very fast, but it has disadvantages like you see. I don't know but perhaps you can disable fcc.

Looks indeed like FCC; pretty sure this is present and enabled by default on VTi.

If you can't find a setting to disable FCC you might need to consult their forum.

FCC by default is off, you can disable iT in the application menu

Vu+ Ultimo 4K (OpenPLI-9.0) :: 1x DVB-C FBC + 1x DVB-S2 FBC :: ZIGGO

Thanks for answers. I can't seem to find anything about FCC. @_HarmeN where did you find the "application menu"?

Just don't use FCC with smartcards that have a SID counter (of some sort), using it will block your card.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

 With this feature channel change is very fast

->

In fact it is not a fast channel change feature at all...

It "just" pre-tuned the next (and over next) channel and possibly the previous (and pre-previous) channel.... so in fact you tuned to 3 (or 5) channels at once or so... loading your SID limited smartcard with too many ECM requests...

During a zal to a pretuned channel it basically just "zap" the output to one of the pre-tuned channels...

You just experience fast zapping in case you zap to a 'pretuned' channel. When you select e.g. a channel number you have a small chance you experience that specific speed...

Do you mean a card I have gotten from my TV Service provider? And what is a SID counter? I have a small oscam server setup on my old laptop that serves my four boxes in the house (two DM800SE, one VU+Solo SE and one in my country house, but there I stream from my VU+ Solo SE). Will that have an impact on my card? Will there be to many SID's?

I'm trying to use the CI+ on my new UNO 4K. Right now it's connected to my laptop (with the oscam server.) That's why I have discovered that ECM updates to the card is 3 each time. To my other DM800SE it's only 1 ECM every 10 seconds. That's why I wonder what's going on with the UNO 4K having 3 ECM every 10 seconds, why does it do that?

True, your explanation seems that's what's going on. Because what I see in my Oscam Server is that it zaps between channels I have recently watched. It loops basically between 3 channels (the ones I have recently viewed). Can't see anywhere where I can switch this feature off. I have tried to find the "Application Menu" that @_HarmeN mentioned by can't find it...

I inserted my CI+ card into my UNO 4K. It does work with HD channels, so that's the good news. The bad news is that it won't stream more than one channel at a time. Which means that you can't watch one channel and record another, or do PiP, even when they are on the same transponder. Please correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I'm missing something here.

Only way for me right now to be able to stream several channels or record is to have it connected to my oscam server.

All that is due to the well known CI+ restrictions.

I would not call that a "single" tuner. It's an FBC tuner "complex". It's very alike eight looped through tuners. Well, I could do four of them on my dm8000 just as well.
