Run webgrab++ on a PC (linux or Windows) with the attached config file.

Change the line:

<filename>testwebgrab.xml</filename>

to suit your situation. (Add the folder where to store the file and change the name of the file.)

The add to the the folder etc/epgimport/ on your receiver two files.

1. turk.sources.cml

<sources>
<sourcecat sourcecatname="Turkish Sources">

Turkish EPG

</sourcecat>
</sources>

of course change the line
to mirror your situation.

2. Build a channels file - turk.channels.xml

This contains the links to which channels the EPG is to be attached.

<channels>

5002:0:1:1:16:1:32:0:0:0:http%3a//

1:0:19:4b80:815:600:ffff0000:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com

.
.
.
</channels>

Again with your values.

Be sure to add http%3a to each service ref, to indicate these are IPTV channels.

The channel id+ values are the xmltv_id= values from the Webgrab++ file.
The service ref is the ref from the line in the bouquet file on your receiver.

There are on the magenta website.

However be aware that this website is difficult to grab.

Not difficult in programming the grab, but the website is not reliable. It is irregular for giving up data.

I can add the channels:

wedo movies

#dabeiTV

But it remains to be seen how reliable the grabs are.

I tried to setup an Test for Matching some Channels and create an Subsection in the Basic Rytec Sources.xml

When i do this i'm only mirrored some Source Url's from the Main File from the Category "Rytec Deutschland/Osterreich/Switzerland XMLTV" under an own subsection under RY_SID.

Is there any Reason if I select the original entry sources "Rytec Deutschland/Osterreich/Switzerland XMLTV" in epg import, it slightly matches some more epgs's as my own created RY_SID subsection ? ( about 10k more)

Why is it so ?

added part to rytec.sources.xml:

<sourcecat sourcecatname="RY_SID">

The above should work.

But you have made your own channels file (/etc/epgimport/rytec.xml)

EPG is only imported for the channels you have defined in this file.

So if there are channels missing in this file, no EPG is imported for these channels.

If you do it this way you have to include all channels you want.

If your objective is only to add some channels (IPTV), you better use the original rytec sources file. Add the extra channels (IPTV) in the custom.channels.xml file (to be located also in /etc/epgimport)

This custom.channels.xml file is automatically used when present.

Reciever: uno4k
Image: Openatv

Plugin: epgimport from feed

@doglover

Hello Willy,

i did it on every way one into the rytec default file and the another seperated into an unique file. the same output everyrun i got more hits with the default syntax than with my own,
regardless the fact that the sources are quite the same.

Then i made a test with the default entry, rytec.channels.xml.xz and with the file which u have in ur repository on local level the same output and it's still differs from each other.

Own entry: 34354 Events
Default entry: 53588 Events

I'm not sure may the issue lies in an broken plugin on the openatv feed.
If anyone wonder why im not asking in openatv forum, ure the creator of the plugin u guys have best knowledge at all about it.

best regards
