OK i will check it,thanks,can i have it displayed longer,for example 6 s? or are the 3s fix and cannot be changed?

checked it several times,when box starts recording you can se just the spinner for a few seconds,but no message....

could it be because of the hdd,that needs moore than 3 seconds to awake from standby before recording?

Then try it with manualy created timer, if hdds not sleeps ... spinner is suspicious ...

before todays update....

when hdd is awake because of a timer recording,then when a second timer (MANUAL) starts recording,you can see the pop up message:record starting....

with hdd awake and a second timer(taken from EPG ) is starting, then there is NO pop up message.....seems to work only with manual timers....timers from EPG, what i use most, no message....

Isn't it so that you only get a popup when the first recording starts, and not when another recording starts while a recording is already active (i.e. only notify once)?

before the first recording starts,hdd is in standby.there is no message,just with the second beginning,when hdd is awake and only if it is a manual timer.

It does this:

notify = config.usage.show_message_when_recording_starts.value and not Screens.Standby.inStandby and self.InfoBarInstance and self.InfoBarInstance.execing

So notifications has to be enabled in the config, the box should not be in standby, and the infobar must be running.

 

What I think is the issue: the message only pops up for 3 seconds but before it can be displayed, the reactor enters a wait state waiting for the harddisk to spin up. If it takes longer than 3 seconds, the popup message has timed out, and is immediately removed when the reactor continues it's loop.

ok, so there is nohing to do if the hdd is in standby,because the 3s of the pop up message can not be prolonged?

I'm not deeply technical, so I can't give you a definitive answer.

 

But Enigma is a realtime, event driven application, my answer is based on what I know about how it works, I would have to dive into the code to check if it exactly works the way I think it works.

thanks anyway, maybe a solution will occur...with the original dm software i used before, it worked...( but your image is by far better....)

seit dem heutigem update gibt es beim Oscam Probleme...

oscam läuft per hd+ aber der Sender bleibt schwarz muss meine oscam immer wieder neustarten .... da ist ein Bug----

Und was hat das in diesem Thread verloren? Mit HDMI-CEC hat das ja wohl nichts zu tun, wobei der Titel "heutiges Update" auch nicht besonders aussagekräftig gewählt ist.

after todays update:( by the way splendid spring bootlogo on DM 8000),dm 7020hd restarting,and eyerything working perfectly.dm 8000 blocked after restarting,atached the crash file...then power cut offf,restart,everything working perfectly.

its just that the fritz box plugin  after updating is always an older version,it owerwrites every time the newer version i install...does it need to be this way?

by the way with the pop up message on record starting theres no change,no message when recording is starting with hdd in standby.
