Even better. Use the makefile. Otherwise you will NOT get it working anyway. E.g. you need to add all BBLAYERS by hand.

Hi,

in the event of openpli6 images removed for VU+ boxes, should the current users running openpli6 take any caution ?

I mean for example like avoiding to flash backup images created with FullBackup ?

No, a backup made from a working box is not a problem.

We suspect (but have not proven it, nor did we receive feedback from VU+) that a boot image in the zip, larger than the boot partition, causes the issue, because the bootloader doesn't seem to check the size before it flashes.

We only find it weird that of all the users that have flashed 6.0-rc on their 1st generation VU+, only two users complained sofar. So it is still an option that clones are involved, although they stated that was not the case.

Not sure if this is an Openpli issue but I suspect so.

On my VU Ultimo 4K I often use openwebif to move my dish whilst sat at my computer.

For around a week, maybe a little less, If I go into webif and select the channel list from any satellite, it just stays on loading but never does load the list.

Is this a known issue?

This facility is very useful to me.

Can't reproduce that on any machine here.

It happens to me always now with Firefox, IE and Edge.

I am using win 10 64 bit.

I have access to a couple of other computers so I will try them when I can.

I don't have any Windows here, but I can't think of any reason why. It does nothing weird, just an API call to retrieve the bouquet information.

You can check using the developer tools (default present in IE and Edge, a plugin in firefox) in the network tab what API request is send, and what the response is. Perhaps that can give you some insights.

Then it's difficult to figure out what goes wrong.

In Firefox, type in the IP address of your box to open the "homepage" of the webif. Then type Ctrl-Shift-E. it will open a debug window at the bottom, with the "network tab" open. Now open one of the bouquets in the webif. In the debug window, you should see a line appear with method GET and a URL like "channels?id=1%3A7%3A1%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3AFROM%20BOUQUET%20%22userbouquet.dbe03.tv%22%20ORDER%20BY%20bouquet&stype=tv".

What happens with that request? Does it give a status? Which number?

No, see earlier announcements. For DMM machines other than DM8000, you can use release-4 or a community supported image.

Ok, server error.

On that same line, on the right (or behind it) you have a sepate block with a few more tabs, one of them is called "Response". If you click on that, what does it say?

I suggest you upgrade to 6.0-release first before you spend more time on it. If you still have the problem, you have to report it here: https://github.com/E...penWebif/issues, as we don't make or maintain the OpenWebIf.

I don't know what you have installed. Given this topic, I assume 6.0-rc.

But 6.0-release was released today, which needs to be flashed, you can't update to it from the box.

Make an autobackup on a USB stick, download and place the extracted image files on the same stick, boot the box with it, flash it, and after the flash let it restore the backup..

Exactly, I insist, the vusolo was bought in DE by a known online specialized shop.

I do have the receipt. I did open it :)

Proof is that I did flash the vusolo v2 bootloader and it did not brick...

Hey, I am developer, here the fault is mine: I was looking at the vusolo-6.0-rc since some weeks noticing the size was 78MB instead of 48 as the 4.0. Well, eventually I finally flashed it...

 boot_cfe_auto.jffs2                                        │    492│set 15 01:18│
 kernel_cfe_auto.bin                                        │3340453│set 15 01:18│
 root_cfe_auto.jffs2                                        │ 82560K│set 15 01:18

I don't have it here but there is the output of  cat /proc/mtd  somewhere.

Any comment about partition boundaries is left to you :]

Cheers

A.A.

P.S. The uint was unused since the purchase of a duo2 so it is not big drama for me.
