Hello Rytec Team.

 

Is something wrong with the danish epg?.

 

I haven´t been able to get EPG for the danish channels for some days/week now.

EPG downloads with out any errors, but there is no EPG data on the channels.

 

I see another person,in another forum, having the same problems.

Nothing wrong with the grab.  From the log:

xmltv input file - /home/EPG/xml/denmarkwebgrab.xml - found
17660 shows in 87 channels
371 updated shows
2178 new shows added

Job finished at 25/07/2017 02:12:11 done in 42m 39s

Also checked the XMLTV and this contains data for the Danish channels.

Hello Willy.

 

Don´t understand whats wrong then. Its been working fine.

If i try to download EPG for SkyUK, its works, but Denmark does not work.

 

I could understand if all didnt work, but that some does and others don´t puzzle me.

 

The EPG points to http://www.vuplus-co...mark/epg.dat.gz

I can download the file to my PC, but what software/program do i need to be able to inspect it?

This is an epg.dat file.  You cannot inspect this.

Try importing the Denmark XMLTV file instead.  And see what happens then.

 

Importing XMLTV files take longer to import, but at least there is a log when you run into problems.  Importing epg.dat files does not leave any relevant info into the log file.

 

I see what happend over here.  The epg.dat file is faulty.

In the log of the epg.dat builder:

Unknown channel:  [gen_xmltv] Error: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xe5' in position 10: ordinal not in range(128)
[EPGImport] imported 12157 events

Will try to resolve it.

Found it. 

[EPGImport] imported 41787 events
[EPGImport] no Oudeis patch, load(.\epg_new.dat) required
reactor stopped
Done, data is in .\epg_new.dat
[EPGImport] #### Finished ####

Problem was this:  NRKTegnspråk.no

A character in the name which it does not like.  (and I worked on this last week or so)

I see there are a few channels still with out EPG, but ill check again tomorrow.

If they are still missing, ill get back to you with the service id´s, if you would then be so kind to check/add them again.

Here are the few missing EPG

Hi Doglover!

 

I have the same problem now and for the last few days.

I use Rytec EPG Downloader on Kodi

 

I try to load Rytec Denmark XMLTV and Rytec UK XMLTV and both fails to download and have done it since September 3. at 10:00 Greek time

 

Has anything changed?

 

Or are there other foreign characters in the channel names.

These files are still available, but only to 30/9/2017.  At that moment they will be removed.

 

There is a new set of files, each holding less data, but you have to make more selections and download several files, more tailored to what you really need.

Overall the amount of channels and data is not changed, only presented different.

So, try to make a new selection of sources.

I will look into it - my problem is that the Kodi addon have not changed the selections that I can make.

 

I will have to change the Kodi addon to present the new possible selections that I can make.

A few channels been missing EPG for some weeks now.

Ive done some debug, but can´t find any errors on this end.

Could you check if they are still ok?

 

Travel channel 1:0:19:AAA:83E:FE00:FFFF0000:0:0:0

 

MTV Live 1:0:19:15E0:866:FE00:FFFF0000:0:0:0

 

Outdoor channel 1:0:19:C8:820:FE00:FFFF0000:0:0:0

I know what went wrong. 

You have to load the rytec General Misc source as well.

However, I wont help at the moment until I fix something.  Will do that today.

Hopefully fixed. 

 

If you have not yet selected, select Rytec Miscellaneous XMLTV also.

Restart enigma2 (to force a fresh download of the channels file)

And import again.

 

Do this after 13h00 today pls.

It used to have 7 days

It is supposed to have 7 days.  But indeed only 1 day in the xmltv file.

But it looks like more channels have the same problem.

 

To be investigated why.
