Downmix controls the volume on the box... When you tune to AC3 then the box can't manipulate the volume...

It's interesting because switching from downmix to and fro means some internal action within the driver itself. Enigma does almost nothing there.

The downmix off-on seems to have done the trick although I'm not sure if it always does.

Well, sometimes it only helps for a short time. Also, sometimes I need to perform the trick several times to work.

It looks like the only way to get rid of this issue is get back to OpenPLi 4.0, which I would rather avoid. :(

When the sound bar is high (in the red area) I have sound, if I slightly decrease the sound I have no more sound even if I am still in the red, or orange.

The only workaround is to open up the audio menu (yellow button) turn off / on the Multi-channel downmix and sound is back to normal and I can lower and increase it without any problem.

Hello Pr2,

Are you still experiencing this?

According to WanWizard, the recent drivers not only get rid of the security check but also fix the issue:

I will not be able to test this for the next several weeks, so I ask you if you can check that, please.

Thanks.

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I cannot say anything about it now because I have replaced my Xtrend ET9000 by 4K capable STBs, sorry.
