/lib/modules/<kernel-version>/extra.
If the kernel version in the old and the new image is the same, you can just copy the contents of the "extra" directory over.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi Guys
I've tried the above (copy the contents of the "extra" directory over) but it has made no difference, still crashing. I've even copied the complete modules directory, but still crashing. Attached is a copy of the crashlog since carrying out this procedure.

Then it is I'm afraid 'Game Over' for now... Then I think it is the newer gstreamer that has a 'bug'.... A cross check could be put the newer drivers in the older image...

Am I correct with your suggestion, copy the contents of the "extra" directory over from Openpli 6.2 to 6.1 & see if the crash happen ?

Yes, so the other way around. If 6.1 then doesn't crash, we know for sure it is not driver related.

Hi Guys
I've done as suggested & on 6.1 using the files from 6.2 there is No crash. I've also compared both sets of files & they appear identical.

You refer to the 4 files in "extra"?
edit: The drivers in 6.2-release are dated 20180319, the drivers in 6.1-release are dated 20171204, so there is absolutely a difference...

Weird because the drivers in 6.1 are really different from the ones in 6.2. So how could they be the same?

No, flashing an image wipes the entire Flash.
You haven't done an update after flashing 6.1-release? As that would automatically update it to 6.2-release, and the newer drivers.

Hi
When I saw the amount (421) of files to update I knew that 6.2 had been released, so I did the update via Flash Image. My last backup image of 6.1 is dated 30/04/2018. I've just put a clean 6.2 image on my Duo2 with nothing but XtremeTv, but unfortunately it crashes. I've had to go back to 6.1, but before doing so I took a copy of those 4 files. They are the same size as those in my 6.1 image. I have to go now, but will check again tomorrow.

Here is a list of the 4x file from lib/modules/3.13.5/extra. These files are present in both Openpli 6.1 & 6.2
brcmfb.ko = 5KB
dvb-bcm7424.ko = 10.25MB
fpga_directc.ko = 2KB
procmk.ko = 4KB

The size doesn't say all, you probably have to do a diff to see if they are different.
But I think we can conclude now that the issue happens on 6.2-release, not on 6.1-release, and has no dependence on the drivers.

I don't know, I'm not into streaming myself.
Problem is also that all these issues come from not-so legal sources (both the stream itself and the plugin), which makes it impossible for us to reproduce or debug.
All we can do is test regular public streams in a normal bouquet, and as far as we know, these still work fine.

Sorry to jump in but once again I face the problem with 100% legal channels from my provider (using udpxy).
All these channels are in the normal userbouquet (and not using XC Plugin !!)
