There is no pattern, that's my problem. Today my ET9000 stopped working upon boot up. The last thing I saw was the empty info bar and rotating spinner. Yesterday it stopped working while zapping through channel list - suddenly there was again no volume at all and then rotating spinner. With OpenPli 4 / 6.1 and same settings my ET9000 did work without any problems.

Who is responsible for the dvb drivers?

The manufacturer. Which for the ET9000 that is a bit of an issue, as it doesn't exist anymore.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Have you already checked and replaced the capacitors into your ET9000?

Is there any chance of getting a 6.2 release with the old drivers for et9000?

I now use Xtrend mostly for the multimedia part.IPTVPlayer and MediaPortal in 6.1 release work fine.

With 6.2 version, audio is dissapearing when i play movies from hdd or IPTVPlayer. When it comes back, picture freezes.

If i use buffering in IPTVPlayer, box hangs and i get :

It doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough to make et9000 unusable.

6.2 release with Mutant HD51 works well with the plugins i mentioned before.

Hi,

I'm back, after 2 weeks without internet (no phone line, viva Italia  )

I will give you the dmesg result when the problems occurrs again, but when I read this:

The only thing I can recommend is to find a pattern in what you're doing and what results in the crash. And then stop doing that  ;)

....

for myself, the problems with the spinner appears i.e. just when browsing channel list, so...

Ok, but strange, because I have tested for a few days Blackhole 3.0.5, (less nice and less useful that OpenPli...!) and no problems!

So, where is the problem, and why Pli does this. Is that only on some Vu+ models? I can not think that all the Vu+ and all the users have the same problem. That's not a liveable solution...

What box do you use?
Maybe blackhole uses newer or older drivers. Or they know a workaround that we don’t know (and we don’t use workarounds).
Does it also happen in 6.1? I don’t know. Just try it. And as long we don’t know which box you use, nobody can tell you.

My box is the Vu+ Duo2, with 2xDVB-S2 Dual tuner, 2 viaccess pcmcia modules, BisTV and SRG SSR.

And can I "update" directly from 6.2 to 6.1?

Yes, driver bug. Still.

As the kernel of the 1gen Xtrends hasn't changed for years, you can simply replace the newer drivers with an older version.

Ok, can you give me some explanations on that and can you tell me how to and where I can find this driver?
Thanks,

Ok, thanks for the answer.

I have downloaded the v. 4, but cannot open the BIN files and what is the file that I must find and replace?
