Does you box have any local storage, like an internal disk, or a reasonable sized USB stick? With enough free space?

If not, or if the configuration is not ok, it maybe can not create a timeshift file, and therefore fails to start a timeshift?

No, not for timeshift.

If you press the red recoding button, can you start an instant recording (choose duration of 1 minute or so, to test)?

Yes, that method I'm able to record without issues, I can set record to end of event.. or as long as needed. Under red record all is active

Ok, as timeshift records to the same location, that should work too.

Unless you have changed the recording paths, maybe you can check (in setup, system, expert settings, recording paths).

I think, Your sd card is not mounted as hdd, or is ?

Try change last item to your sd card and then try timeshift again...

Yes, because that setting is set to "default", and Enigma is able to find your SD card. But the timeshift location is set hard to "/media/hdd", and if that doesn't exist, timeshift will not work.

Why would you want to do that? Chances are, if "/media/hdd" does not exist, nothing works anymore.

It is more logical that your timeshift location setting is the problem, so change that back to "default".

The question has been asked a few times: you have defined "/media/hdd" as your timeshift location. Does that location exist?

If not, you need to change it to a location that does, or back to "default" to allow the box to search for a suitable location.
