After reboot, disappear the message, but now sound freezing and no picture...before, sound ok and no picture...

Sounds like a file that isn't completely standard, so gstreamer chokes on it.

My Samsung TV 4k (MU 6300)  and my Mecool K3 pro play fine this files (mkv, vp9), but I like enigma2 media player.

But even when it's enabled, there is a problem with some files as the VU drivers expect other data than the other boxes.

Not really relevant. You're comparing systems that can't be compared.

Your SetTopBox is not a media player. It supports the codecs that are used by DVB. VP9 is not a codec used by DVB.

testing blackhole I have video, but no audio (opus missing) and opkg install gstreamer1.0-plugins-good-vpx don't work...

 

and openpli I have audio, no video before installing good-vpx.

Now, I'll see: why you don't use blackhole? Why I'm only compare this kind of codec.

 

If the Vu problem, OK, but I'm testing.

more tests:

 

OpenATV working fine: audio and video..then support VP9... not VU problem...

 

If OpenATV work fine, maybe OpenPLi work too.

I did tests with some codecs: vp9 (mkv) and avc/x264 (mp4) - 4k videos

 

all working OpenATV 6.3 (gstreamer 1.15.0)

They do have a lot more support in their dvbmediasink config:

DVBMEDIASINK_CONFIG = "--with-dtsdownmix --with-dts --with-pcm --with-eac3 --with-amr --with-wmv --with-vb6 --with-vb8 --with-vb9 --with-spark --with-h265"

Sounds like we need to consult VU... to adapt the BSP...

Ok, fair point there. Mostly it works quickest if we supply a patch.

 

BTW I very much doubt if all of these codecs are actually supported. It looks like ATV just added them all without checking. But we could try to get VP9 added for the UHD models after the solo4k (the solo4k doesn't have VP9 support).

I have sent a request for VP9 support on capable machines. Now we wait.
