I have one of this on Zgemma H5 OpenPli 7, but it does recognise the USB, any advise what driver module to download?
Thanks

The kernel config suggests it may be supported by the Ralink RT2800 USB driver.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I don't have an H5 handy, but the H3 has these drivers available:
kernel-module-r8188eu - 4.10.12-.1.1 - r8188eu kernel module r8188eu kernel module; Realtek Wireless Lan Driver kernel-module-r8712u - 4.10.12-.1.1 - r8712u kernel module r8712u kernel module; rtl871x wireless lan driver kernel-module-rt2500usb - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rt2500usb kernel module rt2500usb kernel module; Ralink RT2500 USB kernel-module-rt2800lib - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rt2800lib kernel module rt2800lib kernel module; Ralink RT2800 library kernel-module-rt2800usb - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rt2800usb kernel module rt2800usb kernel module; Ralink RT2800 USB kernel-module-rt2x00lib - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rt2x00lib kernel module rt2x00lib kernel module; rt2x00 library kernel-module-rt2x00usb - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rt2x00usb kernel module rt2x00usb kernel module; rt2x00 usb library kernel-module-rt73usb - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rt73usb kernel module rt73usb kernel module; Ralink RT73 USB Wireless kernel-module-rtl-usb - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rtl-usb kernel module rtl-usb kernel module; USB basic driver for rtlwifi kernel-module-rtl8187 - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rtl8187 kernel module rtl8187 kernel module; RTL8187/RTL8187B USB kernel-module-rtl8192c-common - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rtl8192c-common kernel module rtl8192c-common kernel module; Realtek kernel-module-rtl8192cu - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rtl8192cu kernel module rtl8192cu kernel module; Realtek 8192C/8188C kernel-module-rtl8xxxu - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rtl8xxxu kernel module rtl8xxxu kernel module; RTL8XXXu USB mac80211 kernel-module-rtlwifi - 4.10.12-.1.1 - rtlwifi kernel module rtlwifi kernel module; Realtek 802.11n PCI
so no rtl8192eu driver. It is on the todo list, but the one we have doesn't compile for the kernel version zgemma uses...

We don't have any plans, adding and maintaining non-kernel wifi drivers for 70+ images with a huge variety in kernel versions can easily be someone's dayjob.
We don't have that time available, if you want a wifi connection, use either a wifi bridge, or do some research and buy a stick with a compatible chipset.

Did not they just forget about the restructuring?
It is basically available.

According to the kernel database, the RT3270 has expiremental support in the RT2800_USB driver through the "CONFIG_RT2800USB_RT53XX" switch, which is enabled in the zgemma config.
So installing kernel-module-rt2800usb should do the trick.

When I click on module RT2800_USB it says: No packages installed or removed, so maybe something is wrong there, does this mean the module is installed ready, or missing or what?
Thanks
Not sure what you "clicked" on.
OpenPLi doesn't have stub packages (yet) for drivers like OpenATV does, so you need to install drivers and firmware manually.

It's a quick fix pending a rewrite of the plugins menu code, and it only installs the kernel module, not the also required firmware. Which doesn't look like it's being build...

It could be that you need to install both kernel-module-rt2800lib and kernel-module-rt2800usb.
edit: from what I can see it uses the rt2870.bin firmware, and that should be available in /lib/firmware.

I doubt it, as it is a kernel driver, we don't do anything with it. Also, we don't have the hardware, so we can't test and check anything.
Can you disconnect the stick from the box, reboot it, then telnet into the box and type
dmesg -c
then plug in the stick, type
dmesg
and post the result here?
Maybe that gives an indication of what goes wrong.
