Is it possible that the star doesn‘t work and it is better to use ip-Adresse and mask
like

/media/hdd 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,sync)

Receiver:2 x Uno4k SE (PLI 7.3 rel), 1 x ET9200 (PLI 4.0), NAS: 2 x QNAP 410, TV: LG 65C8llla, LG 47LB570V, LG 42LM615S, Sound: Yamaha RX-v663, Teufel System 5 THX

I also thought about that, but according to man page a * is valid. I can check tomorrow whether NFS server is accessible from Linux pc. I have no Apple TV to check that.

I‘ve an idea

From my understanding the * is a wildcard for dns names of machines, not a wildcard for up-addresses.
If the box have no name for the IP-address Apple TV that maybe a problem.

@timkvist: do you know the ip-address of you Network and the mask?
Than you can make a test with a modified exports

So you can change the Exports file similar to

media/hdd 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,sync)

With your ip of the network and mask

After changing it is a good idea to restart the complete system of the box

So we must wait until betacentauri makes some nfs test with his equipment.

I have red that apply tv also can use CIFS/Samba. If we cannot solve the nfs problem that is an other way for connecting the box, I hope

It works here with a Linux PC as client.

Read this thread:

https://firecore.com/forum/topic/20850

Do you use latest infuse version?

It seems it's no OpenPLi problem.

Maybe AppleTV uses NFSv4. It's tricky, because v4 will try to map user id's and won't work if you didn't enable/configure the user mapping daemon.

So I suggest you only export v3, that may help.

Is there a newer nfs daemon included in openpli 7 than in 6.2 with other security checks which need an other export file? I have no nfs here to check that

No, nothing has changed to NFS and that simple plugin in ages.

It seems it's no OpenPLi problem.

I have everything on NFS, no problem, so yes, it must be something on the AppleTV But that is contracting with the reports that it does work if you swap 7.0 with 6.2.

@anudanan,

Are you able to check nfs with your Apple TV to openpli 7.0!?

sorry - i have not enough time in the near future, and at this time i use openatv.

@timkvist,

why not use samba (cifs), as i said here it works with a harddisc on my router without problems.

the configuration in the app "infuse" is very easy i think, look at the pictures and the text in there;

Attached File  infuse_one-min.jpg   114.19KB   5 downloads

the following is the configuration for my harrdisc on my router (in the first picture under the button Andere ... (in english Other ... i think);

Attached File  infuse_two.jpg   75.95KB   4 downloads
