What about it?

Gbox is non-public, so we can't (and won't) provide it. We do however provide the script needed to get Gbox working on a PLi image, it's in the downloads, under softcams (and I think 'older' softcams).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

But this is about the DM800, so it may be different from the E1 boxes.

Ah, yes, missed that. I'm sure it's different, i can't recall reading about Gbox support on a DM800...

I installed this image yesterday and found the following issues:
1. Using the restart (menu>standy/restart>restart) option does not reboot the DM800, the little window on the DM800 remains blank!! And the green pli screen just remains on the TV screen.
2. When I try to navigate into the positioner setup - it crashes the machine.

Are there suppose to be some addtional fixes on this?

Please advise.

1. I have the same. Could be that it is bootloader related, I'm still using a very old bootloader.
2. I never go there. Could be that we fixed this in the meantime.
Could you please post a crashlog here, so we can make sure the issue has been solved? (and if not, we will fix it)

Thanks for your prompt response guys. Ok, just after posting the post - I installed the bootloader Secondstage 62 . Now the restart works!! and I dont seem to have a problem with the tuner as well (I will monitor this !!!)
Now that I can configure the tuner - I have ran into another issue - when I do an automatic or manual (satellite) scan it just hangs @ 0 %. Please note that the single transpoder scan works perfect!!.

Has anyone else experience this problem with this image ? This is my first sat box so I am a newbie but learning very quick, I hope.
I read on a forum about the satellite.xml file and I have gone onto this http://satellites-xml.eu/ website to generate a new file - which contains just 4 satellites (28.2E, 19.2E,16.0E,13.0E). I am in the process of
uploading this file into /etc/tuxbox and will be testing it now, and give you an update how this goes.

If this is a wrong way of going about it, please advise as I am very keen on the pli image!! (seems to be the most popular image and I like it ). Between where is the crash log located ?

Thanks in advance.

if enigma2 crashes (with a blue or green screen), it will output a crashlog in /media/hdd. But only if you have a harddrive, or network share mounted there.

In many cases, such a crashlog will help us find/fix the problem.

Hi,

See attached logs - It crashed again - when trying to access the tuning>positiner setup config.
Between, the automatic scan now works after changing the Satellite.xml.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

all three have:

FATAL: no framebuffer available

which probably means another instance of e2 was still running, or the drivers failed to initialize (sometimes happens to me as well)

These are all bootup crashes, not related to the positioner setup (these crashes occurred 1s after enigma started, so you wouldn't have had a chance to go into the menu)
