UK Freeview is DVB-T2 MPEG4 AAC-HE, and that works fine on my Duo 4K:

Don't pay attention to the "unknown service", I had to quickly hack a service ref in so I didn't have to scan first.

I run a develop image, so that might have slightly different screens. Audio info was added recently.
And I don't know, afaik there where to Duo 4K driver updates in this area, and the drivers for the Uno 4K are a lot more mature.

I don't understand..
My Vu+ UNO 4K and same OpenPLi 7.0 (2019.02.18) identical audio and HDMI setup, no audio problem?
DUO 4K possibly tuner broken?
Sorry wrong topic title, no editing option..

I doubt it, the tuner does not play any part in the processing of the data stream.
If it is a driver issue, I'm running the latest development drivers on the Duo 4K, which are newer than in 7.0-release. But I don't really see anything relevant to this in the commit notes.

You are right.
I installed Vu+ DUO 4K original firmware (20190218014610) and sound worked fine.
Uno 4K OpenPLi 7.0 firmware works fine, no anything problem?
Something is wrong with DUO 4K OpenPLi 7.0 firmware?

The drivers in 7.0-release are dated 26-12-2018, the latest development drivers are from 12-02-2019. If it is driver related, you need to wait for 7.1-release (next month), or download and install the updated drivers yourself (only if you know what you are doing).

I already tested 12-02-2019 driver.
Today there was a new update 2019.02.25, it doesn't help.
But the same audio and language setup for Uno 4k works fine, obviously not a driver problem but a codec problem?

I have no problem here, on my Duo 4K, with the 12-02 drivers, so many there is more, and you have a local issue?

I think it must bei a driver problem
Here
http://code.vuplus.c...1e9fcd52c396061
you see a fix for duo4k and audio AAC but that is not the driver version from openpli 7.0
You wrote you have testet the drivers from 12.02 and 25.02 (with openpli 7.0??). How have you done it ?

This new VU+ dual T2 MTSIF tuner (BCM3466) seems to have lot`s of problems because of drivers. I have reported VU+ of problems I have noticed in Finland with my Ultimo4K. I guess member Hermanni is also Finnish.
So, let`s see what kind of drivers VU+ will develope. I`m affraid these problems are more about BMC3466 tuner drivers rather than Duo4K box itself.

In your link the written problem is the following:
The new DVB-T2 card/driver shows DVB-T2 channels fine until the user switches to an old DVB-T channel. The old channel is also fine. But if the user switches to an DVB-T2 channel, or back to the previous DVB-T2 channel than the picture goes from normal to frozen and back to normal. This problem can today only by fixed with a reboot of the box, So it look like a driver problem

Drivers have been tested by dropping them into the \Root\lib\modules\4.1.45-1.17\extra folder and rebooting stb.
Now Duo 4k inside OpenVIX 5.2 and no audio problems, voice settings can be changed and still no audio problems..
Forgot to say that the OpenPLi problem concerns (DVB-T2 UHF) payment (Conax encryption) channels?
I don't think the fault is in the driver because it doesn't help.

I drop 2019.02.12 OpenPLi tuner drivers for OpenVIX 5.2 and audio works fine.

I don't have any encrypted channels here, so I can't test myself.
I did a quick check in the VIX codebase, but I don't see anything relevant in the last few months.

Pay channels and audio are provided by Uno 4K SE OpenPLi 7.0, is it possible to drop UNO 4K OpenPLi firmware DUO 4K?
What changes firmware are required, Uno 4K SE and Duo 4K hardware is almost the same.
