Hi,

I read on Neutrino forum about it is possible to format flash memory to use the multiboot in flash memory at VU+ 4K boxes.

How can we use multiboot in flash with ? Attached is plugin found on Neutrino forum.

May we expect to get support for multiboot in flash in Pli images supporting VU+ 4K boxes?

Regards,
DJWeed

Hi,

I did not read anything about it. There was no sign in the vuplus git.

I have my doubts.

As far I can see no signs of multiboot...

And when there is a sign I hope they'll come with something that is already available.... (h7/h9/hd51/hd60... compatible)

Not enough.... Just an screenshot from ATV... nothing to see about multiboot...

We at least did not receive news from VU that they do support real multiboot...

I have to login there... but as far I could read it, it sounds like kind of homebrew multiboot...

When it is compatible with the real multiboot we already have for other boxes it should be a piece of a cake... Then we 'just' need to enable the feature in SystemInfo.py somehow as soon the flash in such VU is divided...

SystemInfo["HasRootSubdir"] = fileHas("/proc/cmdline", "rootsubdir=")

SystemInfo["canMultiBoot"] = SystemInfo["HasRootSubdir"] and (1, 4, "mmcblk0", False) or

fileHas("/proc/cmdline", "_4.boxmode=") and (1, 4, "mmcblk0", False) or

HardwareInfo().get_device_model() in ('gbue4k', 'gbquad4k') and (3, 3, "mmcblk0", True) or

HardwareInfo().get_device_model() in ('e4hd') and (1, 4, "mmcblk0", False) or

HardwareInfo().get_device_model() in ('osmio4k') and (1, 4, "mmcblk1", True)

.... and where does that say multiboot ...... there are no code changes on ATV (6.3 or Dev) for multiboot Vu+ that I have seen...

Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K, Vu+Uno4KSE, DM900
.........FBC Tuners:
------------------> GT-SAT unicable lnb to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Gigablue unicable lnb to 80 cm dish(19.2E)

Octagon sf8008, AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo using Legacy ports on multiswitches
Zgemma H9twin & Zgemma H9 C/S mode into Giga4K

What and how does it devide... a plugin? Multiboot is usually integreted in e2 (I and know as I made that code, which is also for a big part used now by openatv)
