Hi willy

I restarted my box and imported virgin EPG from the epg importer section

Now Nat Geo HD has worked fine but again sky HITS HD has the wrong epg again.

This is the info of the channel.

Hi Willy

I set my epg importer to download every night at 04:00 in the morning. So i woke up and sat that around 50,000 events were imported. I went to nat geo hd chanel and it is better with the EPG but there are still random programmers.

The first picture shows the EPG for the sky satellite channel. The 2nd shows the cable one. There are a few programmes on there which are incorrect.

How comes this keeps happening even after you have fixed it.?

First it is better to import around 8h00 o'clock (UTC+1).

The update uploads take place between 5h00 and 7h00.  But sometimes they are only avaialble at 7h00.  (all times UTC+1)

Secondly if you still have mixed schedules, you can try to delete all EPG in your box.

In the EPGimporter there is an option to delete all EPG before an import.  But if you still uses crossepg (for an other purpose) this is not enough.

You have to delete the crossepg database as well.  And also delete the epg.dat file with enigma stopped.

sorry i know this may sound stupid. But the optimal time for me to set my epg import is 8 okclock in the morning or evening UK time? I did not understand that.

OK so i am now going to set my EPG importer to import UK sat channels and my virgin channels. I think maybe my cross EPG is messing it up. I have set my EPG to import every day at 8.00 in the morning UK time.

So far is has imported with any any glitches.

Thanks

Hey doglover

Firstly thanks for all the work involved in this, it's greatly appreciated.

Secondly: Could you take a look at Eurosport HD it's showing the wrong EPG (seems to be for a totally different channel)

1_0_19_5DE_41_601_FFFF0000_0_0_0 is the service reference I have

Thanks

Hi Doglover

There seems to be a problem with two channels on my virgin cable channels

Universal Channel HD

On sky it is showing that rescue special ops is on which is correct

On my cable version it is showing Sher-e-punjab...something like that.

1:0:1:8FE:17:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0

Another channel is sky disney movie channel. There is conflicting epg programmes between the sky one and virgin one on this channel. The timings always seem off and thr wrong film is stated in the EPG for this channel

1:0:1:A2A:1A:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Can you please fix this?

Thanks

Although all the schedules I can find (tvguide, entertainment.ie, horizon) give the same schedule.
