WanWizard, when do you think images will be available on the website for download?

The build is at 40% at the moment.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Because there are issues with the update process from 7.1 to 7.2. Clean flash for 7.2 works fine, update from 7.1 to 7.2 does not. To prevent problems and consequently a load of questions the download of 7.2 and feed has been suspended...

I can confirm....infact i flash 7.1 over 7.1 and all run fine

I have installed newest 7.2 firmware. But when I want to install updates, I got an update warning as if I had 7.1 :o

Update warnings are generic. But there aren't any updates for 7.2 either, they are the same as for 7.1.

Hello
I installed the 7.2 RC a few weeks ago on my Dreambox DM8000, and it's very good, no problem.
I would like to install the 7.2 final relais but do not give me the link for the download.
I only find the 7.1, why?

Regards

Hey guys, I know you are busy with the above, but, just a question if you don't mind: if we are on 7.2rc can we install the updates offered?
Seems the RC folders aren't online anymore, though, will that be an issue?

Thank you

Hello,

Well i did an upgrade from 7.1 to 7.2 via the autoupdate and i didnt have any issues on VU+ Uno4KSE. So i am a bit curious what problems you have people.

Also Oscam is working just fine (I am using oscam-emu). No other issues noticed after upgrade.

Did you upgrade via software update?

After upgrade, has anything changed? For example, did you need to install all existed plugins and softcams again?

There is a notice that "If you are currently on OpenPLi 7.1, DO NOT USE software update, but use the "Flash Image" menu option!"

When you use flash image, will you loose all installed plugins and softcams?

Thanks

That depends on whether you have a backup or not, and where you have installed what.

If you have an autobackup backup, or you choose "Flash Image" from the menu and flash with a backup, that backup will be restored after the flash has been completed.

The backup contains by default:

* all standard configuration and setup, including softcam configuration

* all plugins you have installed from the feeds (using the Plugins menu)

* also all data on USB devices and disks will be unaffected by a flash

It does not contain:
* any plugins you downloaded from somewhere and installed manually

* any data that plugins don't store in the designated directory (/etc)

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
