PD1LOI is active here, so you might want to give him a ping....

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Not that I am aware of. Skins can have a preview image, but you can only see that in the skin menu after you've installed the skin. And not all have it.

It might not be a bad idea to create a section in the wiki for it. If people as willing to take screenshots we can add.

You can even assign multiple functions to a single key, or assign one at a normal press, and one at a prolonged press of a key.

Some boxes have separate keys for EPG and INFO for this, so you can have both, but not all of them.

You can ‘play’ with short epg is single epg and long epg is gmepg.
I’m planing to make changes to the epg hotkey when you first use then after reflash without restore that you go to the hotkey config screen from that button.... at least thinking about this...

I don't think that it's a good idea because you need to understand how Hotkey works especially when you start selecting several functions to a key by mistake. You need to understand how to unassigned functions.
May be better to change the default to GMEPG, I personally never find any interest in the single EPG and always change it to GMEPG.

I can limit in this case the selections to the epg selections and do not show the expension things.

Yes but this will remain confusing because Hotkey is if I am right in the Expert level in OpenPLi so people will get a screen to set it up and then later on won't find it anymore because they won't be in the right menu level.
Why not simply ask it during the initial Wizard, show a layout of both EPG and ask people to choose.

Then in this case it is not on expert level... As the level is not checked...

In the wizard it is not really easy to implement. If you experience at first use it is almost like a wizard...

I think you missed Pr2's point.

I agree this isn't the way forward, if you want users to be able to select which function is under the EPG button, the startup wizard is the place to select it.

I don't know. Like any other option list?

And for me it doesn't have to, selection on first use also work(s/ed) fine. You came up with wanting to do something else... ;)

The actual issue is that we have two buttons on one box, and on other boxes one button. Called often info and epg and then vu has one button for epg it takes the other button than all other boxes with one button... so a real default is not done....
That was why I thought first use of an epg button ‘extends’ the wizard.
