Hello,

there is a problem with flashing VU+ Zero v2. I have used last 3 images without success. There is only boot logo after flash and STB is not booting properly.
Then i have flashed it back to orginal image and it works properly. Looks like something changed. I have tried image from Openatv with same result as OpenPLI.

Only orginal image is working.

Can you please have a look? Do you want to send some log from my box?

BR

Stepan

I doubt if anyone within the team owes a VU+ Zero V2 so hard to test for us. Perhaps that other endusers are able to test this.

If you have a log it can always help adding this as an attachment in the board.

Hi,

I've installed Pli 7.2 on my Vu+ Ultimo 4K the 2019-10-18 version and today I wanted to install a new version. First, I did a backup.

Then I tried to update packages but I think it didn't do anything, it was too short and in the informations, there was the old date.

So I restored my backup and I tried the flash (I discover this new functionality) when I saw it was the same version (2020-03-02) than the download (previously, I thought the display list was automatic backups on my box).

When the box restarted, it was very, very long. I had an image but I can't do anything, there was the gear wheel. I tried to restart Pli and to restart the box, but it was the same thing every time, gear wheel and a very long time to have a hand with the remote.

So I restore my previous version (October).

I've installed the March version's drivers on the October version and it seems the box works well.

Have you an idea?

Thank you :) .

I have no idea what you've been doing. There is no 7.2-release from 2019-10-18?

I've done a research and you're right. Last year I used Pli 7.0 and in October I did an update and I got Pli 7.2 and in "informations", "About' I get : "Last update : 2019-10-18". I have the same date when I restart Pli or the box.

OK, but my problem is why when I've flashed the 2020-03-02 version, I have the gear wheel (spinner?) a very long time and what can I do to get a newer version of Pli 7.2?

Thank you :) .

That can't be, the first 7.2-release is from december 2019.

If you have weird data there, perhaps you backup (and more importantly restore) more than you should? These dates are derived from files that should definitely not be in a backup...

What happened to the updates after 24/02/2020? (For Xtrend ET10000).
The only thing that was updated was the bootlogo.

Dreambox DM920:2x Triple tuner (2x DVB-S2X MIS and DVB-C/T2) Xtrend ET10000: 2x DVB-S2, 2x DVB-C, IPTV Xtrend ET9500 (defect)

Hi WanWizard,

Sorry, I was very busy  . As you can see, the box displays I have a 7.2 release. So I don't know why.

Attached File  screenshot_2020-03-10_10-59-38.jpg   93.21KB   9 downloadsAttached File  IMG_20200310_1101121.jpg   139.76KB   9 downloads

But my question is : why when I flash a recent 7.2 version, it's soooooooo long when it starts. With the previous versions, when I start Pli, it takes 5 seconds, the box ~45 seconds. After this flash it takes a few minutes to give me the hand. I can see the image but I can't do anything. There is the spinner on the screen.

When we do a flash, it clears all the previous files, it only keep the settings. So is there a problem with the settings?

I can try to flash again with the latest version.

Thank you :) .

Ah, it's not a release, it is an 7.2-rc, a test image.

If the box starts but you see a spinner, most logical assumption is you have a mount defined that no longer exists. The mount connect timeout is 120 seconds.

There should be at least changes in the picons, in my case snp-full.400x240-370x210.light.on.transparant.

Sorry about that, sometimes busy with more things than my brain can handle. ;)

The picon builders have, in all their wisdom, decided to destroy the repository by deleting all history and a force push: https://github.com/p...983121a537f69c8.

This renders all local repository clones invalid. I've setup everything from scratch again, we'll see tomorrow if that has helped.
