Whole problem related to libc6 version that is not updated

look at version of libc6 included in openpli7.2

root@dm900:~# opkg list | grep libc6
libc6 - 2.25-r0 - GLIBC (GNU C Library)

while the latest version is now libc6  2.32
and every image we tested libtorrent with has at least lib6c version 2.28

Too bad, as I said, OpenPLi 7.2 runs on OE Pyro, which comes with 2.25.

Not an issue at all if you use properly compiled binaries.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Iv'e checked:

  • Yocto Warrior comes with 2.28
  • Yocto Zeus comes with 2.30 (but is a major OE upgrade)

OpenPLi 8 will use one of these two, but certainly not newer.

That says "file not found". Without more information that backtrace is useless. What is loaded, and why is it not found?

OpenPLi runs on OE Pyro, so it has the libraries that come with that.

OpenPLi 7.2 uses OpenSSL 1.0.2r, so fairbird's list is not correct. Is also has OPENSSL_1_0_0 emulated, I added it myself. I suggest fairbird should look at what he has installed.

I'm using this image

As we know openpli doesn't supported Dreambox any more so we build privet images 90%  based on openpli (Just Dream-meta different) nothing more

Which means that whoever made that image, didn't build from the 7.2-release branch.

This is a prime example of why we don't support images from dubious origins, god knows what is inside it...

7.2-release should have:

root@vuduo4k:~# opkg list openssl
openssl - 1.0.2r-r0.4 - Secure Socket Layer
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) binary and related cryptographic tools.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Which is why one shouldn't just copy binaries back and forth and expect things to work, you have to compile for the distro used.
