I am very sorry that the XTREND ET10000 box is no longer supported. What can be a new model you recommend to replace it?

That suggests an issue at your end. I can download them both here, and the zips unpack without any problem.

I'm sorry. Yes, in fact these 2 files were downloaded using the Tor Browser. I was confused by the fact that Opera, Fierfox downloaded without any problems for 800HDse and for 500HD and 7020HD they did not download Dreambox 500HD and 7020HD. Thank you very much for the help.

Will there be an announcement for all Vu+ models?

The download page already shows the following message:

Due to lack of support from the manufacturer we are no longer able to provide active support for the brand Vuplus. As long as building images is possible without changes in the BSP we will continue building images. From the moment major changes are needed in the BSP all builds will be ended.

What is not clear regarding this message? As we don’t get any response from Vu+ regarding ‘simple’ requests and neither the German and the Dutch wholesaler were able to reestablish the collaboration between Vu+ and OpenPLi, we have no choice but to do the same like we did with all other manufacturers. Move them to the sideline. As long as the images can be build, probably with some future shortcomings like the use of CI+ modules, we will continue building images.

As they still are non responsive we really wouldn’t know. I certainly don’t hope so.

Let's try an explanation:

Vu+ is brand owned by Marusys. Marusys is developping models for the legal TV providers (closed source), so, so far, Marusys was active on both the proprietary closed source STB and the OpenSource one.

Vu+ is building models based on Broadcom SoCs, broadcom is closing the door to create "OpenSource" STB based on there SoCs.

So the equation is very simple if Marusys wants to continue on the "OpenSource" market they need to find another SoC partner (HiSilicon,...) and develop new skills around this new SoC manufacturer or they retired from the "OpenSource" market and focus only on BCM.

So I won't be suprised if Vu+ no longer announced new models and silently retired from the OpenSource market.
