I'm running the latest version of PLi Jade now, and it is working great! The video quality seems better than in RC1, and the progress bars in the channel list was something I've been missing since getting my DM800. I've also been fortunate enough to not have any crashes on HD channels, ever. As I see it the only thing missing now is a decent skin. I think the default and nemesis skins look terrible, and the PLi skins used in the E1 images look great. While waiting for a PLi skin for the DM800 I've found a new skin available for some other images that I really like. It's called Kerni HD Skin. I read in another thread that you are planning on releasing it for Jade, soon. How soon? Can I add it manually for now without running into problems later? Have you got an ipkg for it that I can "beta test"? :)

it works if you just install the files in /usr/share/enigma2, or perhaps the maintainer has made an ipk available, which you can just install.

Several people in the team have used this skin, so I don't expect it to cause you problems.
We've just not taken the time to integrate it in our build chain yet, in order to get it online in our ipk feed.
(we're a bit reluctant to integrate stuff which is under development by external parties, while they don't provide a public repository. Would mean we have to actively monitor forums for changes, merge them etc)

Thanks, I installed it manually. Got the files from the dream multimedia forums: http://www.dream-mul...p?threadid=7770. If anyone else wants to do the same thing, make sure you get the files suitable for the CVS version, not the Gemini version, which seems to be the most common one and it does not work in PLi.

The box couldn't be better now :)

It looks like the DVB subtitles moved up to about 1/3 from the bottom of the screen, which is a bit high, after installing the HD skin. The teletext subtitles are in the correct place though, close to the bottom. Is there a way to set the position of the DVB subtitles?

I believe the dvb subtitle bitmaps have a position attached to them, in the stream.
This position is PAL resolution based of course.

A scaling should be made, based on the actual framebuffer resolution. This will be hardcoded, and also at the moment there is no way to change the position, as it's hardcoded.

Ok, thanks... I guess I have to wait then. Another thing, the version of grab you provide (0.6) will segfault with HD skins. There is an updated version (0.71) here: http://www.dream-mul...cdeed85abff43d6 but I have only got black screens from it so far... No segfaults though.

as long as they don't publish the modified sourcecode, we will not include the tool in our image :(
