Possible, is needs to be enabled in the kernel config.

From what I can see, that is only the case for the VU+ 4K boxes, Zgemma, Edision OSMio, and the Gigablue boxes. None of the others have this driver available.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

The commits on 10 April 2017 allow for signal values to be read.

Can we add something to E2 to read these values?

Hello,

I install this XBox Tuner on my VuPlus Duo 4K SE with Openpli 9.0 and it works very well.
I add the 6 commands with telnet:

opkg install firmware-mn8847x
opkg install kernel-module-mn88472
opkg install firmware-dvb-demod-mn88472-02
opkg install kernel-module-tda18250
opkg install firmware-dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20
opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-dib0700

All are ok and after a reboot, the tuner is OK.

Only thing signal values don't work on infobar.
(If somebody knows how to do for having signal values, it would be so great)

So for now a good tuner.

You might have a look if changing the tuner setting to legacy has any effect.

There are a few scenario's possible: the drivers doesn't support DVB API v5 (hence the legacy option), or the API doesn't provide statistics (and then you're out of luck).

How can I change the tuner setting to legacy ? I don't know how to do.

thank to help.

update. I find the setting... but no effects. 0% SNR and AGC

so the tuner work very well. It's cool to have a good DVB-T2 tuner for Openpli 9.0.

Menu - Setup - Tuners & Scanning - Tuner configuration.

Then select your tuner en press Ok. One of the options near the bottom (if supported) should be "Force legacy signal stats", set this to Yes / green and see if that makes a difference.

If not, the driver doesn't support any statistics.

edit: ok, I see it's not supported.

I've added making a meta-driver package to my todo list, so it can be installed from the plugin / drivers screen next time.

I thought this was pretty clear:

https://www.linuxtv....igital_TV_Tuner
First box need to have minimal kernel 4.16 so this means the kernel need to have a patch which added the USB-ID(045e:02d5)

Second need follow packages: MN88472, TDA18250B, DIB0700 and firmware file dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw

So,

  • if you have a box with a kernel >= 4.16, you need to install kernel-module-mn88472, kernel-module-tda18250 and enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-dib0700
  • if you have a box with a kernel < 4.16, you are out of luck, because the kernel needs to be patched, and only the manufacturer can do that

Other images don't have a vendor supported BSP, and can make changes themselfs.

Hmm, OpenSPA fix XBOX for kernel 3.14
