That tuner needs:

opkg install firmware-mn8847x
opkg install kernel-module-mn88472
opkg install firmware-dvb-demod-mn88472-02
opkg install kernel-module-tda18250
opkg install firmware-dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20
opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-dib0700

From what I can see, all of them are in the feed.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I didn't check 7.2 (probably not, as there were recent changes), but will be in 7.3.

Well here in my Duo 4K not (7.2 or 7.3) ... only if you don't "like" MSTIF ... then I test it on Uno 4K SE.

And it already works in 7.2 ... the OpenPLI team seems to have been looking for the solution.

I don't know why it doesn't work on Duo 4K with 7.3 ... but I'll see in 7.2.

Anyway, thanks for the job.

It was fixed for the Duo 4K in the vendor BSP on May 28th, and that update isn't part of 7.2.

In the setup customize menu you can define a peferred tuner for DVB-C and DVB-T.

Like:

What has that got anything to do with a device working or not?

An MTSIF tuner can only be used on the Vu receivers with this connection socket on the circuit board.  A USB tuner can be used on any receiver with driver/kernel support. As well as other devices.

It cost about £70. I bought 3 of the USB tuners for less than £20.

Yes, an internal tuner looks better.

These are the packages I installed

opkg install firmware-mn8847x
opkg install kernel-module-mn88472
opkg install firmware-dvb-demod-mn88472-02
opkg install kernel-module-tda18250
opkg install firmware-dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20
opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-dib0700

Here is a screenshot of it on a duo 4k on RC 7.3. If it is not working for you, post your install logs and dmesg messages.
