I have a 7020Si , am extremely happy with it’s flexibility coupled with Jade final.
I am considering buying a couple of DM 800 boxes as satellites in different rooms.
My obvious reason is HD decoding.
The question for you owners, would you recommend this box or buy it again now that you already own it?
Thanks for your time

If the reason is HD decoding, then currently there is no other option.
Other than that, it depends on what you expect from the box. If your sole objective is to watch TV, then there's nothing wrong with the DM800. If you on the other hand use all kinds of plugins and all webif features of the 7020, you might have an issue as Enigma2 isn't as mature as Enigma1 which is running on the 7020.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

but the other way around it's also the case that nowadays many e2 plugins exist which have never been available for enigma1.
The only area in which e2 is currently still behind, is external epg import. On all other areas I'd say it has overtaken enigma1 in the last year or so.
Yeah, and the webinterface of course. If you like to use the webinterface a lot, you'll be disappointed by the one e2 provides.

Put it on the "TO DO LIST" as this is a must
the webif plugin is an external project outside pli (and dmm), we have no direct influence on it lest we decide to build our own which is a very time consuming enterprise (and time is something we don't have in abundance unfortunately).
