That is interesting, since Black Hole's Enigma is basically ours. Their frontend.cpp is identical to the one in OpenPLi.

Open blackhole is equal... but there is also a blackhole that is closed and based on vu’s e2 stuff

What’s your point? If it works with vti and bh - why not openpli?

Because it is a myth that all images are equal, simply because they share the same "Enigma2" name. This is far from the truth.

either the default setting and the provider setting both on openpli fail in this way: cable channel - sat channel - cable channel - spinning.

Has nothing to do with it, it is more likely a problem with not properly reporting the delsys, other USB tuners have the same issue.

For the people using the new VU+ Turbo SE Combo DVB-C/T2 Hybrid USB Tuner, it works perfectly on my VU+ Zero 4K for DVB-C service.

After installation of following driver from the OpenPli 7.3 plugin feed the tuner is correctly recognized:

ct2-usb-dvbsky-t330 (1.0-r0.0)

I only experienced in some cases the box completely hanging when zapping from satellite tuner to DVB-C tuner while oscam was running, even with FTA channels.

Only remedy was rebooting the box (E2 restart didn't help/work).

After some heavy troubleshooting I got rid of this problem simply by changing PMT Mode 6 to 0 in oscam.dvbapi.

Since then the tuner is running very stable, no glitches, freezes or whatsoever.

Most likely this is a solution, thanks.

did you mean the pmt_mode in the oscam.conf?

[dvbapi]
enabled                       = 1
au                            = 1
pmt_mode                      = 0
delayer                       = 60
ecminfo_type                  = 1

Great to hear that it also solved your problem!

During my troubleshooting session first I disabled oscam completely and tried to reproduce the problem with FTA channels --> Problem could not be reproduced.

Then I re-enabled oscam and tried once more to reproduce the problem still with FTA channels --> Problem re-appeared instantly.

So it was quite obvious that problem didn't come from the decoding process but from the dvbapi module.

Then I tried changing PMT-mode to 0 like in my old DM7020 box and that solved the issue.

Just for clarification: are you using the legacy VU+ Turbo tuner or the new Turbo SE version like me?

I am using the Turbo Tuner, not the SE.

The moderator here mentioned that he remembered an issue with cccam, so I tried with cccam and the problem existed also with cccam so I was sure it is not related to the decoding, but it was.

OK interesting so it means that both old & new Turbo tuner versions are affected by this problem despite they are using different drivers.

I suppose that cccam has its own "dvbapi" implementation handling the ECM pid selection (demuxer) when switching channels, which is apparently triggering the same problem as in oscam PMT mode 6.

I'm actually wondering why PMT mode 6 is enabled by default in OpenPLI oscam feed, while from oscam perspective the default value is 0.

pmt_mode = 0 # use camd.socket and PMT file (default)
pmt_mode = 1 # disable reading PMT file
pmt_mode = 2 # disable camd.socket
pmt_mode = 3 # read PMT file on startup only
pmt_mode = 4 # do not use signal handler for monitoring /tmp
pmt_mode = 5 # do not use signal handler to monitor /tmp & disable camd.socket
pmt_mode = 6 # use PMT server mode NEU - NEW - NOUVEAU - NUOVO svn8680:05/06/2013
