Right above click on your user -> My Settings -> Signature

I'd already tried that, I can set up a signature, but I don't see it or anyone else's.

Same with this post, my sig is "test", but it's not showing.

Avatars show, they're usually something you can switch on or off.

I can't see it, and there's nothing in my profile which will switch it on.

The full editor has "enable signature" ticked.

Feel free to delete these posts, it's way off topic.

I am having a problem with my VU+ DUO2 and openpli 8.0

After start of the DUO2 and changing channel as the first "command" it just locks up and not changing channel.(spinning wheel in upper left corner)

Only thing to do is connect with "putty" and reboot.

If i go in to menu or EPG or simular as first "command" after start of the DUO2 and then change channel it works.

Crashlog attached.

I have tried many flash attempt with and without Backup of settings and downloading the image once more if it was corrupt but with the same result.

Downgrading to 7.3 and all works good.

Anyone with an idea?

Start the box, don't touch the remote. As soon as you can login with putty, type

init 4

wait until the TV screen freezes indicating Enigma has stopped.

Then type

ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 enigma2

which will startup in the foreground in debug mode.

Wait until you get the spinners again, and the post the log here.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Looks like installed hbbtv from the previous settings to me.
Flash again without accepting the settings, or try to uninstall hbbtv and then try again.

Strange, this is an install without previous settings but i can see hbbtv in the list of Un-installable Plugin-s

Tried to uninstall and getting error messages and could not uninstall.

I have not installed it (and not have any use for it) so right now i am flashing and will look for it right after flash again.

OK Flash done, did download the latest 20210105

Not keeping settings, after flash just do the settings for tuners and then stopped the guide and pressed the menu button and Plugin Then red button for uninstalling plugin.

In the list a had hbbtv (git8522+9e71a84-r1.0).

Is it correct it should be in the build on the feed and that is the reason i could not uninstall it?

[eFilePushThreadRecorder] stopping thread: 1
[eFilePushThreadRecorder] thread could not be stopped!
[eThread] Destroyed thread without joining it, this usually means your thread is now running with a halfway destroyed object

This is a known bug, which manifests itself only on boxes with a low(er)-speed MIPS SoC. We think the new OE has introduced this bug.

A fix is currently tested, and I hope it will be ready for Sunday nights build.

Log attached but one question? where are these logs normaly ? the log from my first post was on root on HDD but i could not find this detailed one so i did a copy/paste from Putty.

Nowhere.

This is the debug mode log, which is only generated when you pass the variable on the commandline, or if you restart in debug mode in the menu. In that case, you will find a debuglog in /home/root. Don't run debug mode for too long, and this file grows rapidly.

My Vu+ solo2 behaves just the same as ntj describes. It hangs when I try to change channel or try to change settings (like softcam).

If I install a new version without restoring v7 settings and with no extra plugins installed v8 seems to work with the basic settings.

The latest development build is not a solution. The system hangs before it even fully started…

I am reluctant to make records of every plugin and setting I have chosen over the years to make a brand new install and normally an upgrade is supposed to work :).

I would appreciate some support to solve the issue for me (and maybe other users). If this is the "same bug" as ntj I’ll just wait for the next build.

This is work in progress. Maybe reflash or update does already solve it for you

I just updated my box via online update from the box. think it gone to 7.3 from the 5th jan. Was already on 7.3 but think it was a couple of months old. Ill stick with this for now. Seems like a lot of ironing out issues. Im on vu solo2. With extra plugins etc so dont want to install all these again and the oscams. Does it save all these setting if i update to 8.0?

Fresh install is the best bet .

There are lots of changes between 7.3 & 8.0
