For me it is not easy to post a log since I am not an expert so I do not know the steps to reproduce an exact log when the reproduction of the mkv / mp4 file crashes. Can you help me do it?

activate the start in debug mode via the switch-off menu.
Then play the mp4 / mkv file as desired.
Everything that happens then is saved as a log in the home directory.
Then restart the receiver normally.
log then paste here as code, or as zip.

Hallo,

with the new OpenPLi at my Mutant HD 2400, I have problems with vps...

At the same station (One HD) vps on my solo2 with OpenPLi 7.3 works flawlessly and on my HD 2400 the record (vps without security) takes with leadtime and lagtime.

When I download both pugins from our feed, I get:

enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vps_z-git4980+74bb66c-r0.0_mips32el for my solo2 &

enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vps_z-git5063+39ff6ff-r0.0_mips32el for my HD2400.

The plugin git4980 has 54kB and git5063 has 33kB.

I there anything wrong?

In 5063 is anything missing!

See attached Scrennshots

All plugins from the enigma2-plugins repository should have the same git hash, so one of these boxes is not up to date.

The current 7.3 feed contains:

./mips32el/enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vps_z-git4980+74bb66c-r0.0_mips32el.ipk

so you need to update your HD2400.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

In that case someone might have forgotten to update the plugin pinning. I'll have a look.

Not that that will fix any problem, there haven't been any changes to the vps in a long time.

If I look at your screenshots, the only difference are the .py files. Which is perfectly normal, we don't install source files by default anymore, to safe space. You don't need them if you are not a developer.

Checked.

OpenPLi 7.3 has plugins version dated May 26th 2020. OpenPLi 8.0 has the latest version of the plugins. However, the latest change to the vps plugin was on April 10th 2020, so your problem isn't the plugin, but is elsewhere.

Start- and lagtime for timers are defined in Enigma itself, maybe they are different between the two boxes?

Do you maybe use 8.0 rc? If yes, you need to reflash your box with 8.0 release image.

Thank you for Checking :).

This evening I 'll make a clean install on my HD2400.

At all my boxes, I have 5 minutes leadtime and 10 minutes lagtime (private german tv-channels).

I'll report...

@betacentauri:

No I use OpenPLI 8.0

So,

after clean install OpenPLi 8.0 2021-02-08 on my HD2400 I am a few steps further.

When HD2400 starts for vps-recording from Deep Standby, the recording begins everytime exactly to adjusted leading time (5 minutes before the epg-time of broadcast).

The End of recording is correct controlled by vps (exactly when broadcast ends)

When HD2400 starts from Standby, the recording begins exactly at beginning of the broadcast and ends exactly when brodcast ends.

The debuggung function of enigma is only active, when the box is in standby (when everything runs correct).

The debuglog of my HD2400 with vps-recording from standby I saved on my computer.

Can I make a debuglog, when enigmas starts fpr recording from deep-standby?

In my opinion, everything is correct and corresponds to the logic of the recorder.

You also created an exact intersection through the VPS mode at the start.
If you want, you can cut it away.
The recording timer must wake up the box controlled by the time and then record. The VPS timer is active from the point of intersection.
In my eyes, that's good and sure.
Otherwise, you could lose a recording, depending on the start process and duration. Just because the VPS signal could not be detected.

greetings

@rantanplan

Thank you for answering.

The handling at my HD2400 is safe, but not correct!

On my vusolo2 it is no problem, when the box comes from deep standby.

The vps-recording ist at begin an at the end of the broadcast correct.

What happens, wenn the broadcasting begins 2 minutes before record-leading-time?

For this reason, I can set the lead time in the settings of the vps plugin.

If the ratio of the effort to the benefit is too high for you, I can of course understand that :)

Hello PLI Team,

I would like to see my construction sites for my Zgemma boxes with the Image 8.0 ect here in the English forum. because there is not so much reaction and reading in the German forum.

H9Combo: HBBTV does not work at all, PIP (with PIC-Skin) crashes and BackupSuite does not work either.

With my H7S: only the HBBTV no longer works, Image 7.3 works very well.

Can you still hope for positive results here?

Many Thanks, Greetings Mikel

We are aware of the HbbTV issue, it seems to affect all boxes. No idea why though.
