Hello everyone, I always have the same problem of memorizing the stop position when we stop viewing.

And at the end of the screening, the small gauge next to the name does not stay full.

 

I have tried wifi and wired and it is always the same thing.

I should point out that it does since the last update, it does not do it before.

But i did not change anything on my installation.

After seeing a video on my vu+ connected on my nas, i can delete it by the vu+, so i think the permission are ok.

How can i verify the metadata file ?

There is a difference between actions you do on existing files (which is related to the file permissions) and creating new files (which are permissions related to the parent directory).

That depends on what the exact problem is, I can't see that from here. Can you make a new recording on that NAS location, to test if your box has create access?

I don't use like this, i record tv en a hard drive in the Duo2.

I use the nas, only to read videos, and rarely, it works : the position is memorized, but, the most of time, when i finish to see a video, i can see the gauge entirely filled, and when i quit the media player, I put the machine on standby and then i come back to the mdiaplayer, the gauge is empty, like i never see the video.

Is my explanation clear, i hope so ?

Yes. I got that. That is wht I asked you to make a recording at that location, so you can verify the box has write access. Probably not, which is the cause of your problem.

 

So I suggest you check the share definition on the box (not mounted read-only by any chance?) and on the NAS (does the user used in the mount on the box has write rights?).

What kind of media do you play, and which player do you use?

 

Creating .meta files only happens when you use the internal player (the one you use to play back recordings). I have a collection of test files here, avi's, mkv's, and meta files are created. Note that it doesn't do that for audio only files.

I use the mediaplayer standard in the vu+ called by the red button.

Afaik in OpenPLi there is nothing standard linked to the red button. You can make a screenshot with the web interface, it's better than a photo.

Open your browser, type the IP of your box, and press enter.

 

In the sidebar on the left, in the middle, there is a link called "capture screenshot". Make sure "High Resolution" is checked. Right-click on the image and save it for attachment to your post.

 

Do not use copy/paste, the forum software doesn't support it.

Thank you for the method.

 

 

In this image you can see some gauge empty and some others filled.

For example, i saw all the number before 512, and as you can see, a lot of gague are empty.
