Correct. With 2 tuners, each tuner can receive the full range of channels, independent of the other tuner. So you can use one to record, the other one to watch.
Currently, the DM7025 is the only dual SD tuner box available. The upcoming DM8000 has 2 HD tuners, and 2 option slots for two more tuners if you want.
Note that for a dual tuner, you need twin LNB's (or a more complicated setup), and separate cables for each of the tuners (so 2 cables from dish to box).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

there is another option - which gives more than one transponder but less than twin output lnb
if you get a second dreambox and split the signal cable - you should be able to watch any channels on the same polarity ( H or V)
would take some playing to work out - and you would have to make sure both boxes are on channels on the same polarity - or one will not work
I would personaly go for a twin out put lnb run two cables back to a 2/4 multiswitch into 4 dreamboxes each watching whatever they want - wait a moment thats what I do have

DM800+DM7025+DM7020+DM7000+DM600+DM5620+DM500+VUDUO Dreambox great invention - whats it for ?

Not all on the same polarity, but only those with the same polarity being on the same band (Hi/Lo).
So roughly 1/4th of all available channels.
