Just click on it. These links all work for me. After downloading the IPK packages, move them to a USB stick and then install.

However, a better way is to use a LAN connection via cable and via fixed internet in the set-top box. Then just use the opkg manager and you don't have to download anything from the Internet via websites:

opkg update
opkg install firmware-rtl8192cu
opkg install kernel-module-rtl8192cu

Thanks again for the complete explanation and the time you have allocated, I chose to install IPK with the help of USB, but unfortunately no option for installation is displayed on the page, what is the way to access these options on USB and transfer them? Do I have to transfer this IPK package in the same way as changing the image by pressing the power key or not? Please help me in this regard.

Hi.

I still don't have OpenPLi installed because OpenMultiboot doesn't work correctly in my Vu+ Solo SE V2 ... so I can't advise you exactly.

I think it could be something like this:

MENU > Plugins > Software Management > Install local extensions

And then I browse to the folder of the USB stick.

But I pointed out that it is not good to install a new package from the Internet into an older OpenPLi than, for example, 2-4 weeks or more. For reasons of compatibility and possible problems, it is advisable to install the current OpenPLi and then install the current or compatible package. In theory, it will also work with older versions of OpenPLi, such as 1-3 months old. But 100% compatibility is no longer guaranteed. It's a bit tricky :). You should have done it right away - download the current OpenPLi and perform a clean flash of the set-top box. Then find (it is poorly searched on a third-party feed server) and download all necessary packages for your WiFi-USB dongle, intended for this current OpenPLi build. However, it would be best if you connect your set-top box to the internet via a LAN cable and perform the installation in Linux Shell (in a terminal connection with the set-top box) - via the "opkg" manager. And done.

Thank you, my friend, according to the existing problems and your personal experience, what image do you suggest for ET6000?

OpenPLi of course. It is the fastest Enigma2 so far, out of about 10 popular Enigma2 images that I had the opportunity to test - on the same set-top box, of course. Otherwise, I primarily prefer OpenATV, but OpenPLi is also really good. Also, the support is very good for OpenPLi - in English.

"Neither installed or removed" means it is already installed and it is up to date.

The "opkg update" command only updates the local database of available packages that can be downloaded from the internet.

The next two commands "opkg install <package-name>" will already install the necessary package via the internet, into your Enigma2.

Can you copy exactly what kind of error appeared in your terminal ? Or at least take a screenshot of your terminal window and insert it here as an attachment.

This should mean that it is already installed in your set-top box. Just reboot the set-top box and WIFI must work (found in MENU -> in network configuration).

You can also check it with the following command, which lists all installed packages, with a string filter "rtl8192cu":

opkg list-installed | grep rtl8192cu

You will see the already installed packages in your Enigma2 that contain the string "rtl8192cu".

Why does that screenshot mention another driver than is discussed here?

Maybe we should go back to the beginning, perhaps your assumption is wrong. The TL-WN725N has been produced in several versions, with different chipsets.

Login with telnet, issue the command

lsusb

then plug in the WIFI device, issue the command

lsusb

again, and post the difference here.

Once we know the USB ID, we can see which driver supports that ID, and if that driver is available for the ET6000.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Hello friends, for some reason, I re-installed the openpli 8.3 image, and before and after installing the dongle, I received these results by running the command lsusb Telnet, please review.
