It is in the libopkg1 package. Which should be installed by default?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

@ Icemen : Is the channel freezing due to the image and oscam?

If you have a not found (< 0.5 s) in oscam, you can have a feeze (> 10 s), if you don't use the remote.

nice                          = -5

pmt_mode                      = 6

I test several parameters but i think it s a bad synchronisation between the softcam and openppli.

If someone can confirm this ?

Yes timeout is 5000 ms, no problem. It is an original oscam.

But when you have a freeze because you have a "not found" in oscam due to bad readers, if you don't use your remote to do an up-down channels, the freeze can be > to 10 s and < 1s if you use it.

By using the remote you have a best synchronisation between the softcam and openpli.

I test something and it seems to be good now.

In settings menu, i change "time synchronization method" from "auto" to "transponder time".

"time synchronization method" from "auto" to "internet (ntp)" is better.

Good evening, everyone.

For some time now, I have had a problem with the volume function and only this one.
The 2 keys (up and down) respond poorly.
I was thinking about a remote control problem, but I tried 3 with the same problem.
So, i think it is a problem at the receiver level.
It’s the only function that’s problematic, which is why I don’t think it’s coming from the infrared receiver and I wonder if it could be a programming bug.
What do you think about it ?

Nothing has changed to that code in ages, and if the code was an issue, all boxes would have this problem.

So at the moment no idea.

You could install evtest and run it (commandline), which will show you all input events as they arrive.

I don’t think this is necessary, since you can see the white led on the front of the VU+ flashing or not. And precisely, at times, it does not blink at all, so it infrared receives nothing. But then why does it only do it with volume keys?

Keys worn out on the remote? Programmed to send them to the TV?

Ok, that would rule out both caces.

Maybe someone else has an idea?

Hi, just an update with my experience on openPLI 8.1

My first Flash was via Octagon sf8008 with Multiboot Network Flash, as I could NOT get any of my USB sticks to work.

I tried at least 15 sticks from 4GB to 8GB all Format @ Fat32. ALL Formatted with EaseUS Partition Master.

I read here that when you Flash you get asked if you want to Re-install your Settings. Well this was NOT the case here.!

It was a Virgin State install.I Connected to the Network and did a Software Update 62 items.

I then tried to Install Plugin of my choice, the First one I tried EPGImporter 207. Installed with NO

errors BUT was nowhere to be found. So tried again this time with a reBoot of Box, after two tries it showed up.

BUT unfortunately the Sources were empty, BACK to square one Remove Plugin reBoot - Download Plugin reBoot,

After three tries it showed up and had the Sources to save. BUT NOT my IPTV.... Again Remove Plugin reBoot - Download Plugin reBoot.

Now at least I had the Sources albeit with only half my IPTV. OK

Moving on to other problems.

I then tried to install VPN with VPNConfImporter and VPNManager 1.1.4 using the older version because

I read here its better more stable than the 1.1.6 version.OK

Nothing was installing as it should and I lost my Network Adapter connections. Network Test: IP was RED unconfirmed and Nameserver also RED Unconfirmed.

Even after uninstalling the VPN Files to get my Network back this was NOT the solution.Network was DEAD...!!!!

Could NOT Write my Settings or Install Oscam, NOTHING was working anymore with out the Network.

Gave up yesterday and did some more reading today and tried again. Deleted the openPLi 8.1 from Multiboot and started again.

Same procedure Online Flash via Octagon USB sticks still DID not work. Either as Zipped File or as Unzipped putting the Four Files straight onto stick.

After Flashing the 8.1, again the Software Updates installed.

Same again today with EPGImporter 207 and also for IPTV JediMakerXtream.v.6.20

This time as long as I had Network working, I  downloaded and installed the Oscam before trying to Setup VPN.

The Files VPN ConfImporter and VPN Manager are still NOT installing correctly and DO NOT work.

On my Multiboot I have: Slot 1 openATV 6.4 - Slot 2 openATV 6.5 - Slot 3 openPLI 8.0 - Slot 4 openPli 8.1

Should I have Deleted the PLi 8.0 before  Installing PLi8.1 or does it make NO difference.?

Thanks

AJP

What does this all have to do with the release of OpenPLi 8.1?

We can't be held responsible for third party stuff you install yourself, which is most likely not compatible with OpenPLi. You should check with the authors of the package to confirm they are compatible.

I can not confirm any of the other issues, and the SF8008 is one of my test boxes, which gets flashed on almost a daily basis.

@ Wan Wizard,

Thanks for your reply,

You are an Expert and part of the Team so ALL this is easy for you, for others who's strenghts lie in other fields, this is sometimes all a challenge,

especially with all the changes in Linux/Python/ARM Boxes/Multiboot/IPTV/VPN..... etc etc etc

Its true that I wrote mostly about third party Plugin, BUT some are ALSO on your Feed so I am assuming that it works.

The image of your openPli 8.1, did NOT work for me at all first time and after reading here, other members, had problems with the Network Flash/Online update as well.

In fact it was recommended by the Team here to use the USB method, because as you said many things have changed and may NOT work as they should.

So I am NOT alone. The EPGImporter is also on your Feeds. So I thought well should be OK.

I have noted my experience and made it very clear which and what Plugin did NOT work on the new 8.1 as a Help and Info for other users as well.

So in my opinion its a constructive thread.

If its NOT, in the Team's opinion, please feel free to delete it.

Thanks

AJP

PS.... The Q of leaving an old image openPli8.0 on the Multiboot before installing a new one 8.1 does it make a difference.?
