I don't have any of your issues.

 

The only problem you can have is that your box has received its multiboot partition from an old OpenATV image, which is different from the system the manufacturer (and OpenPLi) is using.

 

But if you have OpenPLi 8.0 installed, and that boots, then you don't have that problem. And no, images are installed in separate partions, and don't see each other. Like installing Linux and Windows on the same PC.

 

For the SF8008, two types of images are available:

• the USB image, which contains the bootloader / bootmenu and the OpenPLi image
• the Multiboot image, which only contains the OpenPLi image.

If you flash the USB image, the entire flash will be erased, the bootloader/bootmenu is reinstalled, and the OpenPLi image will be installed in the first slot. All other multiboot images will be lost.

 

You can only flash the multiboot image using Online flash, or via the flash option in the boot menu.

 

As to plugins: we can help or comment when it comes to third party plugins. We don't know the code, we haven't written it, we can't update or fix it. So you need to find the author.

 

For plugins from the feed, they shouild all work. If they don't, we need more info than "it doesn't work". Provide descriptions of what you do, what you expect, what happens, ideally with logs.

Most people use EPGImport on a daily basis, including myself. And I've never seen a single issue with it in the last few years.

 

So, if you have an issue, provide a proper bug report, which allows us to reproduce the error. If not, and it works for us, there's nothing more we can do.

 

The same is true if an online flash doesn't work.

Yes,  I have the new Multiboot version from April 2020 i think it was.

Both my Boxes are working well also my Amiko Viper 4K is fine unfortunately without openPli (I really luv your images)

These problems started just recently on the Octagon.

Maybe I should ask  our friend "Pike Bishop", here in Forum about the VPN, I read he has it working on 7.2,  8.0 and 8.1.

 

I am sure that what I am doing is NOT right. I have read that Skins are very important, It might even be a problem with my Skin,

its been modified by original Skinner to work on ALL openpli, ATV and HDF opensource images.

 

Unfortunately he has Retired and NO longer does this work. I have his permission to Post and get modified if needed.

I will have another read and see if I can find a solution.

There is an option to ignore the sub network  in namespace for DVB-S and he disable it in its configuration (why I don't know). The default is to have it enable to fix this kind of problem.

So with this enable (default) we will just have the orbital position (C0 in hexa means 192 in base10 which mean 19.2°E) in the namespace so C0 0000  while he scan with this disable the sub network is set so it is:  C0 AEEC

Some transponders (mainly feeds) use the same parameters for the program (SID, TID, NID, PIDs), then only xxxxABCD can be distinguished, otherwise they will be deleted/replaced.

I don’t think this is necessary, since you can see the white led on the front of the VU+ flashing or not. And precisely, at times, it does not blink at all, so it infrared receives nothing. But then why does it only do it with volume keys?

 

You could try with a camera (mobile phone) to look at the led of your remote controller.

Then when you press the button you should see the led flashing.

If it does not then your remote control is faulty.

I had tried with 3 remote : the official on and 2 universal.

Maybe the 2 universals do not send the right code ? or they are also faulty (yes unlikely, but maybe you do use the same button a lot isn't it ?)  

If you have a vu+ duo2 note that there was an update for the receiver a long (long) time ago, I think it increased the receiver sensitivity.

 

Did you change your remote controller batteries ? (yes why only volume keys, however those send continuously, but...)

 

No other ideas...

Camera:

Normally a camera allows you to see infrared. Camera have an IR filter, but I never saw one that completely obliterate IR.

Thus:

a• point it at the remote controller led

b• push some non-volume buttons and check you see the led blinking

c• push volume buttons and check you see the led blinking

if b & not c then remote is defect.

Pieces of info. Difficult to figure out what you really tried or what combination you could still try.

ex:

Did you try your duo2 remote on the vu+ uno ? all buttons except volumes works ?

Did you try your uno remote on the duo2 ? all buttons except volumes works ?

Sorry it was a mistake : i've never had a UNO, only a DUO2

 

So, i resume : i tried 3 remotes, the official one and 2 universal.

All the buttons are ok except the volume up and down, and not each time !!!

The trick I found: I have to tilt the remote control and point it precisely towards the vu+.

Sorry, I did not read it right, I now see you have a Duo 2 which has no Bluetooth, so no hopes there. From what I read, there only seems to be support (probably only in there own Vu images as it uses RTL8762A for a dongle were native Bluetooth lacks) for Bluetooth in the newer 4K models  https://wiki.vuplus-...rgleichstabelle
