Thanks for your swift help,I'll try with the last nightly build...
Actually, there's no other way to connect 8000 with a TV,
but with a DVI to HDMI , isn't it?
Posted 26 December 2021 - 22:59
Correct. At the time, Dream Multimedia chose to use the DVI interface so they didn't have to pay for the HDMI license.

Hi everybody,
Nightly build of 8.1 works so wonderful and stable,as,of course, the whole image in general,
that I am considering to rename it to "Nicely build" instead of "Nightly build"..
Can I have some instruction on how to program and include to the list some
streaming channel, cause I have no experience with GStreamer.
For example,to be precise, one of the lyngsat free streaming service, let's say
https://www.lyngsat-...ericana-TV.html
Thanks

Why is only Cooltvguide 7.3 available on the feed? There is a 7.7 version since 2020:

Because it is in the 3rd-party binary package feed, and nobody as delivered us a working ipk for a newer version.

If you post a working ipk, I can add it.
The feed currently contains
[wanwizard@alfred] $ find . -name "*Cool*" ./enigma2-plugin-extensions-cooltvguide_Coolman_V7.3.0_all.ipk ./enigma2-plugin-extensions-cooltvguideskin_Coolman_V5.0_all.ipk
so I assume the plugin skin needs updating too?

Hallo, i just install OpenPLi 8.1 on my VU+ Duo2 first time ever and with little problems i get to point where i am satisfy. But there is one last problem with transcoding and OpenWebif. Transcoding working well if i I don't use stream authentication (only authentication to get OpenWebif, transcoding outside lan). When i use stream authentication VLC show me error like that:
"Program VLC nie może otworzyć MRL 'http://-sid:5747c1323*******************************************293cf4c75a@xx.xxx.196.253:8002/1:0:1:32FC:190:13E:820000:0:0:0:?bitrate=3000000&width=1280&height=720&aspectratio=2&interlaced=0'. Szczegóły błędu można znaleźć w dzienniku." (could not show stream).
When i erase phase -sid:5747c1323*******************************************293cf4c75a and leave only http://@xx.xxx.196.253:8002/1:0:1:32FC:190:13E:820000:0:0:0:?bitrate=3000000&width=1280&height=720&aspectratio=2&interlaced=0 VLC asking me for password and after enter it waiting like 30 secound and asking again (like wrong password?) and after another 30 secound shows error like before (could not show stream).
I erased transcoding plugin (streamproxy) and install again but no luck. Before it in OpenATV and OpenSpa i don't have problems with transcoding. I don't want leave transcoding without password. Any advice?
Sorry for bad english Regards

Other images use an external transcoding proxy for which the web infterface needs to invent all sort of tricks to make authentication possible (as this extenal proxy programme has no access to enigma sessions).
OpenPLi transcodes internally on port 8001.

I didn't write that.
The problem you have is that the web interface (which we don't make) generates URL's with port 8002 in it, while we use port 8001.
So try
http://xx.xxx.196.253:8001/1:0:1:32FC:190:13E:820000:0:0:0:?bitrate=3000000&width=1280&height=720&aspectratio=2&interlaced=0
does that prompt for a password?
Virtually nobody uses that here, is is very unwise to expose your box on the internet, a password doesn't make it any safer.

Use a VPN, so nobody can steal your tuner to add it to an IPTV network. Opening ports on a router is a bad idea.

Hi guys.. i hope this is the right section/thread..
Octagon SF8008 4k
Openpli 8.1
Anybody tried kodi 19-r0 (python 3)?
For me, after a few minutes of starting playback for anything(movie/series) through any add-on, the receiver starts to suffer, the video hangs and I get the system loading spinner (not kodi buffering)..at this point the box becomes unresponsive, I can't even connect to it by telnet or ssh..only thing I could do is restart using the back switch..very frustrating.
How was your experience with kodi ?
Is this a known issue and could it be fixed?
ps: i have it running on a old E2 image without a hitch, which is good for now.. problem is with the python 3 migration and add-ons not working anymore on older versions.

OpenPLi 8.x is Python2, OpenPLi 9.0 will be Python3, so you'll have to wait.
