Hi. In the case of the Zgemma H8.* devices, it's not good. The "splash.bin" file should be in the "h8" folder... if I'm not mistaken . So it should be "/h8/splash.bin".

Hi,

I try to flash the image on VU+Zero 4K, but without any sucses.
Folder in root on fat32 USB stick (no other files) = vuplus/zero4k/splash_cfe_auto.bin

splash file format = 720x480 24bit.

I did power off the box for at least 30 seconds, than put in the usb stick and than power on, however no flashing, box just start normal.

Any ideas? need the splash file to be a different size or format for the Zero4K?

I think you also need an empty file called "forced.update" in that folder to triggle the flash process.

Vu+ Zero 4K looks for / requires / needs / the correct name and path for the splash logo image, as follows:

 

/vuplus/zero4k/splash_auto.bin

I finally found it.
The name of the file shall be "splash_auto.bin" and you also need a file "force.update" in the same directory.

The file "force.update" is a empty plain text file.
Thus in the root of the usb you shall have; "vuplus/zero4k" and there you need to put both files.
