This is not an image for users.
It is intended for developers only!
Users continue to use one of the versions.
Latest version is 8.1

Since it is released to the public, it is also for users. If I manually add the city in / etc / enigma2 / settingd, the Weather Plugin will show the weather normally. I adjusted the skin as well, but it starts and works pretty well, only after:

init 4

enigma2

As mentionned the python3 downloadable image is totally experimental and we are aware that many plugins are no longer compatible and must be adapted to be compatible with python2 and python3.

It is also the job of the plugin creator to adapt them.

Some "pre-compiled" plugin where the source are not available will even became obsolete if developers don't release an adapted version.

So you can test image to see the progress but many things will not work at all on it, and we know that!

Better to test it on a multiboot STB and certainly don't use it today for a daily/family usage.

Develop image is also available for everybody and this doesn't mean that "it is also for users". The only image for users is today the 8.1-Stable image all the other one are for developers/testers.

I understand, but ordinary users can also test, they can also contribute something useful to improve the image performance by reporting problems Besides, in my opinion, the feed should be turned off in such an image, because it adds nothing

I'm afraid at this moment the py3 test images are too early for "ordinary users"...

I prefer transferring plugins being py3 compatible and not being backwards compatible as we should move forward and keep code as simple as possible.

So I am asking the OpenPLi Team to put on the feed the Weather Plugin adapted under question3. Because most skins use this plugin Thank you in advance and best regards

Please don't use bold fonts!

At the moment this image has no support, so your question will have no follow up.

This image is in a transition state to using Python 3 and harbours also a new OE and as such I would qualify it as Alfa.

Python3 images for Vu models aren't available yet, there are still some issues with building Vu+ related plugins.....

Wat zijn de voordelen om de image in deze vorm uit te geven.

""in deze vorm"? "uit te geven"?

As said, these images are for developers working on the conversion to Python3. For all other users it is pointless to install them, as most of the time big chunks don't work.

I would classify them as pre-alfa, so flaky, only testing and as @Tech remarked Vu+ is not building yet and apart from the transfer to Python 3 this image also has a new OE (Hardknott)

I’m afraid it still needs a few months before it’s ready and I’m happy some are working on it!

This is a development image. If you can't fix it yourself (and send a PR in for the fix), you shouldn't be using this image.

It's already fixed 3 days ago: https://github.com/a...iwlibs.py#L1061

Most probably you are using old build.
