Why would you install vpnmanager if you say: "It works fine if enigma2-plugin-extensions-vpnmanager_1.1.7-py3 is not installed."

Then you won't need it apparently.

I put the plugin again, same problem.

I restore the settings, (no reboot), the Wlan works fine.

After that with the plugin openvn start and stop correctly.

Something is not in the good order.

DNS for static IP is impossible set ... resp. can be set, but after 'ok' are again both on 0.0.0.0

That should have been fixed, my new code writes static DNS entries in /etc/network/interfaces, instead of /etc/resolv.conf (which is volatile, and caused the problem).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

As I saw, now it is saved to /etc/network/interfaces and to /etc/resolv.conf too.  But I have problem, when I go to set DNS, DNS are 0.0.0.0...   py3 ?

Weird for me - try go to Networks - Adapter settings - you will see existing working dns . Press blue => both dns are then 0.0.0.0 (=> existing dns cannot be edited) - Exist ... both dns are 0.0.0.0. Exit and go again to Adapter setting - still existing dns...

Yes.

Only static DNS entries can be edited and saved. So if your DNS has been assigned via DHCP, both entries are still 0.0.0.0, as you don't have any static DNS entries defined.

Hmm... That is not ok.

You do have your static DNS defined in /etc/network/interfaces?

Just did a test here:

Starting position: LAN connection, DHCP, DNS supplied by DHCP.

==> In the network settings, DNS1 = IP from DHCP, DNS2 = 0.0.0.0, under nameservers, both are 0.0.0.0 (no static DNS assigned)

Entered 8.8.8.8 as first static DNS, left the second empty

==> In the network settings, DNS1 = 8.8.8.8, DNS2 = IP from DHCP (as static goes before dynamic).

So this is correct.

After a reboot, DNS is still as it should be, but for some reason both LAN and WLAN are not active, and I can't seem to activate them again, so I need to look at what goes wrong there.

Hmm, more buggy code.

In /etc/network/interfaces, "dns-nameserver" should be defined per iface stanza, so every interface has (can have) its own DNS definition. But in Components/Network, DNS is considered global.

More work needed, I'll ry to find the time asap.

Please ignore that. Autorestore restored it from the feed, so it was not on the installable plugin list anymore... ^_^

This is still a test build environment.
Why does it have to be a recovery image from the python 3 branch?
If you test, you should also be able to provide logs, otherwise nobody can help.

A receiver does not always need a recovery image, but actually only very rarely.
The images are loaded normally into the flash.

The error just seems to be an unreadable USB stick.

Hello,

Since last week I've been testing the nightly and found 2 issues yesterday:

1. If you go to the openwebif and select autotimer list on the left bottom the list remains empty (see screenshot, while in the enigma gui you can see the entries). If I go to 8.3 the entries are visible so it would seem to be a py3 thingy

2. The RSS reader does show sources (like TotaalTV), but when you select one there are no entries visible in nightly (while there are on 8.3, see enclosed screenshot)

Attached Files

Mutant HD2400, OpenPLi nightly, 2x DVB-C & 2x DVB-S

Mutant HD51, OpenPLi nightly, 1x DVB-C & 1x DVB-S

Wavefrontier T55 (Astra 1,2,3 en HB)

Smartcards Ziggo (Irdeto) and CDS (Seca) on Oscam

1. I can not reproduce that, but I run a homebuild from yesterday, so it chould be an issue that has been fixed in the meantime.

2. Is that the simple RSS plugin? Do you have a config I can test with, all I can see is a menu.
