Hi,

 

After today's update KODI still not starting.

 

I found another bug. When upload ipk file to /tmp and trying to install there is unable to install local package because of permanent information about "there is no files on this device".

Known issue.

Works only with hisilicon boxes at the moment.

just for info ...... but maybe you already know that devicemanager doesn't work on python3

Do you have a crash log? And when does it happen?

 

I uploaded the new image .... on restart it found me the backup of the openpli 8.1 configurations ..... it uploaded them to me at reboot the message that some plugins do not work .... and highlights device manager

 

 

Probably old source.

Manual install with homebuild no problem.

 

update 512 packages today .... the problem is no longer present.

same things happend also on my Vu+Dou4K. I installed every beta build with Python3, but I have just error. Sound is OK, but no screen. I'll try every combination change of video setting, NO WAY to have picture on my Tv. Just sound. THX.

EPGImport is no longer working, I launch manual import to force it and nothing happens.

I saw some clean up of the section: For summary has been simply strip off the code but it is useful I think to display the import progression especially when you perform a manual import.

 

By the way, I have also the feeling the EPGImport scheduling for automatic daily update is waking up the HiSilicon STB (instead of keeping them into standby while running).

Yes it is working in develop but not with test (python 3) image, so indeed the clean up is fine.

 

And about the box waking up I think that it is due to Xstreamity with the option to load EPG that needs reboot of the GUI. If OpenPLi is not configured to start in standby the box remains on.

I was under the impression that it did work, because I got the message ' Busy with downloading' or so.

 

It should be OK now.

I'm aware of the problem, but I don't have the hardware to see it myself.
Unfortunately, I can only build the base around Kodi in terms of structure.
Hopefully
Andrea Adami (A.A.) has another idea.
He looks at it.

It's not py3 related, this doesn't work on develop neither (and probably on release too...)

x-debian-package is not recognized by the scanner (anymore?)
 
I suppose some hack like this should probably fix it:

With Uclan ystum4kpro and  GigablueTrio4K still working.

Only needed this patch to display .ipk package once instead of 4 times.

With dm920 (which is using OpenPLi Enigma2 and servicemp3 ) it works either.

 

DM8000 out of running for the moment.

Perhaps I can test it with dm8000 next weekend.

hmm, for me it didn't work on vs1500 as I tested last night, neither on py3 nor develop (?)

 

and not only ipk in /tmp,but e.g. on /hdd were not found too...

So, double checked this - I was apparently wrong about develop image - scanning for local ipk works fine (am pretty sure last night it didn't work, but you know... 8-))

 

However, on py-3 image (yesterday's home build vs1500) it doesn't work for sure here, ipk packages are not found by (original) scanner, you cant install local extension neither from software manager from any location, nor with "put ipk on USB stick and plug it into the box" method...

 

And with patched Scanner.py everything's fine, see pics.
