I don’t understand… What did you throw away? Your receiver?
Oh wait… I think I understand that you misunderstood me…
What I meant is this…
You downloaded a zip file. You unpack this directly onto your FAT32 formated USB stick. The USB stick should now contain a directory /vuplus. In this directory you should see some files.. Shown us the files found in this /vuplus/ directory

Startup wizard started, installed tuners, performed channel scan. Picons, OScam & OScam config. Software update and reboot. OpenPli 8.3 running fine…
Detected something odd though. After reboot sound is intermittent for a few seconds. After a few channelswitchings sound is OK…

Have you checked my post regardig the necessary files? Are all the files present with the correct length? Did you format the USB stick in FAT32 mode? ExFAT and NTFS won’t work… Does the box try to flash at all? And remember: disconnect every other USB devices you may have connected to your box! Only connect the USB stick for flashing… Is the directory structure OK? The files should be in /vuplus/solose

Why not telling exactly what you do? I mean step-by-step.
1. Download the openpli version voor de VU+SoloSE (not the Solo2!!)
2. Format a small USB Stick in FAT32 (Tick off Quick Format)
3. Unpack the downloaded .zip file DIRECtLY on you USB stick.
4. Do this on a PC, not a MAC! This mostly causes issues..
5. Safely remove the USB Stick. Don’t simply yank it out!!
6. Turn off your VU+SoloSE completely (rocker switch on the back in OFF position)
7. Remove all USB devices from your VU+SoloSE (if any)
8. Insert the USB stick with your unpacked image of OpenPli
9. Turn on your VU+SoloSE.. Flashing should start automatically (see posted movie)
10. When the LED flashes on/off turn off the box, remove the USB stick and switch the box back on.
The Startup wizard should present itself…

Hi, I did make a download of openPLi 8.3 for vu+solo se with a usb 4gb (fat 32) from a laptop. No other usb is in the receiver and I took out the HDMI as well during flashing. Turned off the receiver, insert the usb, the blue light turns on-off once. After all these nothing happens, the openPLi 4 is still on the screen.
