That is because on the place of picon in infobar it should show the Play, Rev, FF, Pause icons. Unfortunately PLi is missing those. So nothing is shown. Is never meant to show picon there.

Just to be clear, I am referring to the big light-grey area on the left here:

When you play a recording you should not see the list.... so this is something I think is obvious.... 

 

Indeed images may be different... that is the 'dead' of an opensource project... where you fork and never contribute back.... (as the original does not except everything tight away forks are born).

I still thinking how this paths will be implemented. I dont like they to be visible all the time. At least there should be settings to turn them off.

I personally dont need them.....

They are easy to explain how to get to a screen on the forum and therefore they are helpfull... When you can put the somewhere on the top in extreme small letters or so it would be helpfull.... At this moment they do not fit everywhere

 

It also looks like every image puts picons and x-mass stuff anywhere...

 

When we miss picons in the timerlist... I think it is not a big change to help us to get them added. But by adding them the raws are bigger and that leads to a less usable timer list.... So maybe we should not show them or when shown the same way as the channellist so smaller...

But as i said i dont need them. So a way have to be found to be disabled from the settings somehow. Otherwise i dont feel like adding that. It just complicate the screen...

I agree is usefull for some cases but if i dont need to report in the forum something then i prever to not see the paths.

 We (OpenPLi) really need to fix the graphics layer on HiSiliicon boxes, it currently sucks big time, the infobar opens like someone is rolling out some scroll of parchment...

I believe this is video driver issue. Vu+ have no problems But HiSilicon and even some broadcom based boxes like Edision have rendering issues

Let me double check, just flashed my test box.

 

Ok partly my bad, picons didn't get reinstalled after the flash.

 

The picon shows when watching live TV, but it doesn't when you play back a recording.

We used a text box here with > || etc..... no idea why other images replaced those by picons.... can be easily solved by showing it in big characters I think without changing any code... this means other images can not show 4x, 8x the speed..... That is also a reason why I kept this...

Other images have both icons and texts for that. If i put them both it will be a mess.

Not sure about that, as OpenATV 7.3 doen't seem to have the same issues.

regarding the GMEPG... I dont experience your issues on my side. Maybe because my EPG have no overlaps. But for that have to blame the epg provider.

And an end-user will certainly not understand it. The space is there, all required info is there, the picon itself is there, but it is not displayed.

You must have hawk eyes then, as even with your screenshots I can hardly make out a colour difference between the background colour and the very slightly lighter colour of the selector.

 

On the screen on my wall, at 3 or 4 meters distance, it is even less visible.

I have a 55" plasma (HD only), and the distance is about 4 meters.

 

Like I said, I can hardly find the selector in the two screenshots you made, on the TV it is only worse. There is hardly any colour difference between selector and background, so I really have to stare at it and search for it. If it is a contrasting colour (like all others), you would see it directly.
