Also the others should have it as that are also have our skin available…. Other solution is we swap it also….. but is is note where a skin came from during the development of it… that was the ‘default’ and that one exactly could be ‘contra’

Even your latest suggestion does not fit…. I would leave it as is, change the comments what wanwizard suggested and swap both at the e2os skin.
The skin needs special code that is only in the image at develop and 9.1 when it is released

Well then you need to see if Dimitar is willing to update that argument in the skin.

Ok i have already changed the default to be SNRdB.

Also the others should have it as that are also have our skin available…. Other solution is we swap it also….. but is is note where a skin came from during the development of it… that was the ‘default’ and that one exactly could be ‘contra’

So the change to SNRdB is global change not only for PLi. So you dont need to swap anything...

Brillant.

I'll change the config to

It is implemented as a toggle, so it should say something like "Toggle the SNR values displayed" with "When set to 'Yes", all locations where SNR is displayed in dB's will show an SNR percentage, and vice versa" because that is what I understand it does....

There's some regression in the skin.

The colours are back to what they were, like light-green for the current channel, and no seperators between programmes.

How is he supposed to deal with this. On boxes like Pulse the rendering is slow, so he removed the graphics folder.

In other images it is possible to turn graphics mode on and off, but in PLi the only way is to remove the folder.

Would have been handy to discuss the issue first, that's what this topic is for.

So we could check if we find it to be a problem, and if so, it we would implement such a toggle to deal with it.

Can maybe someone split the boxinfo stuff from the skin discussion?

I see. Well i have removed the graphics since with them it is imposible to work with GMEPG on HiSilicon boxes without HW alphablending support.

Pli doesnt have option to disable graphics per box (OE-A images can do that). So i have removed the graphics completely...And now it seems there is issue or something not implemented right in GMEPG on Pli.

On ViX i have no issues with that mode...

Edit: Maybe we can add that option to PLi too and then i can return the graphics back....

Insane it also has default a kind of mini gmepg… with left/right (where we zap) that is not skinned yet in the e2os skin…. And in the mini gmepg the standby button is blocked.

So should we add the option to be possible to be turned off graphics?

When i using darkos on Pulse4K in Pli it is unusable if graphics are there....

Is this due to svgs?.....

When it becomes unusable then indeed it should be disabled... 'somehow'.... but not by the user I would say...

Well it is not "unstable", the problem is no hardware acceleration. So possible fix is add to add an entry in enigma.info if the box has hardware accel or not and use that, or any similar method. Otherwise the only other option is from a user config.

Not sure why you don't want users to be able to access such things. It is like forcing everyone to drive an automatic.

What exactly is the issue, as my office test box currently is a HiSil box (an SF8008), and I've never seen any problem?

On Sf8008 there are no issues. But on AB PulSe4K navigating in GMEPG is very very slow with graphics enabled. Maybe it will be the same in Dual4K....

Ok, so it's not an issue with HiSilicon chipsets perse, but with specific boxes? Which might be a driver issue then?

I have a Pulse 4K here, I'll try to find some time for it later this week.

I think you will also see this on H8 and H11. Maybe other boxes too as PLi build so many.

That suggests boxes with the low-end HI3798MV200 SoC ?

I'm not sure. As far as I know these are the only boxes openvix builds with this problem, and we don't build Pulse (except a test image for Dimitar).
