I have an annoying issue I can't solve: when the device is connected to the Internet with a LAN cable I get continuous video freezes on all sat channels but also when i play video from a USB flash drive which is plugged into the device. Continuous means every 4/5 seconds the image freezes for 1 second and then goes on. The freeze is ONLY video, not audio.

This happens with all main images (OpenAtv, OpenPli, and OpenVix).

If I disconnect the LAN cable, the issue immediately disappears.

If someone else has a similar problem? How I can resolve it?

What runs on the box that requires a network connection?

Any weird connections when you issue the command

netstat -t

on the commandline?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Well, it look to me that you have a ‘visitor’ from outside your network. Most likely you have forwarded a port to access your box from outside your network… IF you need to access your box from the outside use a VPN instead…

it turns out that it is something with my router asus rt-ax55, when I plug WAN directly into the box then it works fine. but when the router is between WAN and box then freezing appears.

anyway i do not understand why...

Shouldn't make any difference if there is no traffic. Even 10Mbps half-duplex should be causing freezes, something is blocking the CPU.

not sure, i limited bandwith and it did not help.

something is blocking the cpu, but when there is no router then the blocking disappears?
i am sure that my router causes problems

Possible, for example if the router is blocking something.

Check what is running on the box, what it is talking to, and what it is saying.

Use tools like "ps", "netstat" and "tcpdump" (needs to be installed from the feed).

Thanks for tcpdump.
My Home Assistant makes http requests to Zgemma. I do not know why but I disabled openwebif and it works now. I have to figure out why HA is trying to communicate with box
