I had already posted something similar as a comment to the commit itself.
If they don't change it, we need to patch it out. I wonder what BetaCentauri has to say about this. He hasn't been online with us in a while, but he is still online with OE-A, I've seen him respond yesterday.

Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.
Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen. 
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.
Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

Is nog een kwestie van dagen of weken tot de final versie van openpli 9.0 komt?

Hij stond gepland voor dit weekend maar helaas zijn er nogal wat aanpassingen gedaan welke het proces negatief hebben beïnvloed en er weer een hoop handwerk verricht moet worden alvorens een Release te kunnen draaien.

Zou je deze willen installeren en proberen?
Bijlage kopieren naar /tmp van de box, dan
opkg install /tmp/ofgwrite_4.x+git203+f556a70-r0.0_mips32el.ipk --force-reinstall
en testen met
ofgwrite
krijg je dan nog een segfault, of de helptekst van ofgwrite ?

Die is al benaderd, antwoord is "ik heb de aanpassingen niet gemaakt". En de persoon die de aanpassing wel gemaakt heeft zegt zoals altijd "bij ons wel, dus zoek het maar uit".
Het wordt notabene veroorzaakt door aanpassingen voor boxen van een failiete leverancier waarvoor wij niet eens images maken...
Als het zo doorgaat moeten we die aanpassingen er uit patchen, wat voor de toekomst weer een onderhoudsnachtmerrie wordt...

Voor de RC heb ik dat inderdaad gedaan (de aanpassing teruggedraaid).
Ik heb zojuist een RC build voor de solo2 gestart, als die klaar is kun je kijken of dat helpt.
Maar dat lost naar de toekomst toe verder niks op.

Ik zou zeggen clone de boel vanaf het punt captain het kapot heeft gemaakt en laat betacentoauri dan vanaf die clone werken.
Die zit daar natuurlijk ook niet op de wachten, bovendien is het onduidelijk waar wat dat betreft dan zijn loyaliteit zal liggen, als hij moet kiezen.
De ellende is dat het er allemaal niet beter van wordt, de meeste OE-A images zijn na al die jaren nog steeds instabiele bagger...
Het is me onduidelijk waar nu precies het probleem is, het OE-A recipe bouwt bij ons gewoon helemaal niet, de linker mist dan van alles, pv pthreads en dl.
Het zou me niks verbazen dat het, net als bij dat python versie issue, alleen maar werkt met de specfieke openssl versie die in OE-A zit...
