The newest release is now available for download.

The easiest way to upgrade is to flash this version from the menu. Make sure you there is local storage available for a backup, so you can make one when prompted.

The team did its best to make sure this release can still be installed on all supported box models. But we have to make clear that especially for old models with only 128MB flash memory, there might be room for a softcam and a channel list, but installing plugins or online updating will not be possible due to lack of space.

Please note that OpenPLi 9.0 is based op Python version 3.

Because of this a lot of plugins, mainly older and/or no longer supported, are no longer available for download. For plugins you find on the internet, make sure they are compatible with this Python version before you install them !

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I flashed this version 9.0 (GigaBlue UHD UE 4k) , went nicely, works smooth. Thank You!

One problem i found: running AutoTimer creates no timers (nor error messages).

Running OpenWebif / Autotimers / Process on computer gives this message:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?><e2simplexmlresult><e2state>False</e2state> <e2statetext>
AutoTimer failed with error [Failure instance:

I hope this helps.

It is py2 -> py3, but describe the exact procedure in OWIF, because I fixed all this py2->py3 problems long time ago. I might have forgotten something...

@Teesi

I will test autotimer too but not on your model.

EDIT: I didn't test via the OWIF but the regular AutoTimer does what it needs to do.

I think we need more information.

Old (or classic) interface, or the modern interface? What action did you perform when the crash happened?

I'm using the modern interface on all my boxes ( the classic one isn't being maintained anymore ), sofar I don't see any issues.

It could be problem with "Coding EPG" as "ISO8859-15" instead 'UTF-8' there in AT setting "Edit new timer defaults" submenu.

There could be removed whole this test ... lines <320-324> , imho.

Somebody, who using it could test it.

Put here screenshot from Owif before you press button, where you have problem.

I tried to put a screenshot here yesterday, but i have no rights.

There is nothing special in screenshots however. Not any specific recording. I just press <Process> and immediately get the message.

Pressing <Test> works.

Pressing <Simulate> gives 'Autotimer Preview' -window with never ending spinner.

Flashed my edision nino pro . After first installation everything works ok , but after first reboot there is a problem with dns service .

Anything that has dns and not direct ip dont  work .

For example , i use openvpn . If i set it with dns i cannot connect , if i use ip it connect ok . With 8.3 i never had any problem .

Even if i am trying to update image i have the same problem .

Please tell me what log do you need to see the problem .

I am using clasic Owif. Put here screenshot before pressing "Process".  Btw - what is your setting for "Coding EPG" there in Autotimer plugin - menu "Edit new timer defaults" ?

Can you logon to your device (telnet) and give the output of

cat /etc/resolv.conf

Looks like your dns can't be found...
