I don't know how that could possibly happen. Problems with reading the recording (over wifi perhaps) which could cause the pause?

Does the OpenPLi logo changing place on the screen? Or is it the background screen that you see when booting the device that is display?
If it is the flying logo then it is the screensaver, if you saw the background then your box crash and restart.
Which device are you using for recording? Internal HDD or SSD, external HDD or SSD, NAS, USB stick, .... How do you format the device used for recording?

What hidden setting? You have a problem to fix, not a sympthom to fight...
Firstly, how do you play back the recording? From the file list (by pressing ok on the filename), using the media player plugin? Using some other plugin?

You can find the screensaver via Menu - setup - system - GUI setup - Userinterface and right at the bottom you can disable the screensaver.
When you simply try to think a bit yourself you might have found it pretty easy. At least IMHO. Show screensaver after ….. minutes or off. Although the screenshot is in Dutch this should be clear. Perhaps you must set the userlevel to expert. Although ….

Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.
Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen.
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.
Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

But that doesn't solve the underlying problem, as the screensaver only activates when the playback is in SEEKSTATE, never when it is playing. It is just hidding the problem elsewhere.

For my hard disk (see above) problem solved: false contact. Moved the hd connectors and then now, it works !

Maybe the build was aborted due to some reasons...

Yup, issue with a SRCREV of a third-party repo. Fixed it, and restarted the build.

Small update to this.... I can say that in the last days it never happened again... so don't know what caused that screensaver display but it def. was there (my wife and kids can attest to this 
)

Probably a race condition. Enigma is mainly event- and timer driven, the code is littered with potential issued because of this.

OpenATV 7.3, I didn't find the option to backup the whole image in OpenPLI .

Because that image name is taken in the OpenPLI image and it concernes it, but it doesn't matter if you don't care, it is not important.

It is the ATV plugin that generates the name of that backup file, what is in the backup is not relevant. Therefore ATV has a bug when it comes to detecting the image version, not something we can fix.
And btw, backupsuite is in our feeds too.
