Define "usable" ;).

I run develop images on all boxes, and have done for years. In general it is stable enough to use, but sometimes it's not, for example if the automated builds run in the middle of work-in-progress.

So if you're careful with updating, it should be fine. And as long as you have an autobackup, you can always flash yesterday's develop image.

Having said that, looking at your reason, I'd say develop won't work either, as we do build rarfile in develop, but not the other two ( there isn't even a build recipe for levenshtein ). And installing OE-A ipks on an OpenPLi image is a VERY BAD idea.

It would be possible to make a recipe for levensthein, but fuzzywuzzy is an end of live package, so the developer of that plugin needs to switch to python3-thefuzz, like other plugin builders have done.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

For which VU+ box do yo need these?

I've added all three to the 9.0-release build, I can start a new image build for you.

Usable as stable enough for daily driver. According to people on that forum who tried the plugin with those ipks installed, both the plugin and the image work without any issues, that solution for OpenPli images has been available for 2-3 months now.

Not VU+, I use Zgemma H9S. The new image build would be nice.

Then you were also using the wrong arch files, only VU+ uses "armv7ahf-neon".

I've started a build for the h9, you can follow the progress on the homepage, in the sidebar on the right.

You added them to release build or develop build?

I'm not sure why, but I think the developer (Ziko) did it because he had no other way to implement his plugin on OpenPli (I think that H9 also has Arm architecture , so the mipsel version would not be compatible). Reading the discussion on the forum (I would mention the name if it is allowed) it seems like OpenPli doesn't have the gui fix patch for HiSili processors? He noted that the plugin will work better on VU+ boxes but still works on other arm boxes.

He actually made 2 threads on the forum, but according to him no one was interested in fixing/implementing those suggestions

Actually the users that managed to run the plugin on the non Vu+ arm boxes, extracted binaries and copied them directly.
Ziko mentioned this workaround as well "modify control file of ipk's and remove Architecture: armv7ahf-neon and recompile ipk's with ipk tool"

Unbelievable, typical OE-A, always hack and workround, instead of fixing the problem.

As you can see, all you have to do is ask ;).

Thank you, are those ipks online on the release or develop build?

I agree, the OE-A images really lack stability because of their desire to introduce the latest and newest things quickest. Unfortunately since python 3 started being used on enigma2, most of the plugin developers put their main focus on those images first.
Also in my case their images are too bloated since H9S only has 256mb flash and makes them useless without moving the whole image on SD Card which slows down the system.

9.0-release.

For develop you're have to wait until after the next build, they run continuously.

I managed to install the plugin via telnet without any issues but it is not showing in the plugins list so I can't open it. Do you know what the problem could be?

I attached ipk of the plugin in the zip file if it could help solving the issue.Attached File  enigma2-plugin-extensions-multi-stalkerpro_1.2+git169+1f4c695-r0_all.zip   2.14MB   2 downloads

Why don't these *&(^%(%)* developers not add a proper control file, with all required dependencies? :(

Well the developer is OpenATV focused....It was  amazing that he made it available to something else than ATV ;)

But @WanWizard is right....Not matter what there should be proper control file....

P.S. It seems some of those package are preinstalled on ATV so maybe thats why is not included in dependencies....

Yes. Lazyness... ;)

If all control files would have been correct, there is no need to preinstall everything but the kitchen sink, opkg dependency management would automatically install what is required.
