Hi

When I scan by adding a frequency, the channels are scanned and I am also watching the channel.
But when I want to see this frequency in the TP list, why is it not showing?

What TP list?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It is normal, the list of TP (or frequency) came from the satellite.xml, so you are able to scan channel out of this pre define list but your own scan are not saved in this pre-defined list.

The list is automatically updated based on https://www.lyngsat.com/ information.

So if a TP is missing ask lyngsat to add it.

The satellites.xml is updated every day, so every build always has one that is a maximum of a day old.

Having said that, 4060 V has been in the satellites.xml for many years, so whether or not you have a recent one isn't really relevant.

You haven't installed an external channel list that includes its own stripped satellites.xml file by any chance? Check on the box in /etc/enigma2, if there is one there, you found your cause.

Note that you can't simply delete it, if the naming is different in that file from the standard one, your tuner config will need reconfiguring too.

I guess you have to elaborate, as I've never seen anything install "with" problems.

Hi

I never installed vpn on the receiver,
And I don't even know what the point is,
And what is the harm?
I thought I'd try a vpn, too.
It is difficult for me to install without your help.
Thanks in advance

Eh? If you don't know what the point is, why install it?

VPN's are usually used to aid illegal viewing, some share providers require a VPN connection to tunnel the softcam connection, and some use it to work around geo-blocking from stream providers.

There are legitimate uses: I have a box that I use when not home, which connects to my home via a VPN, so I can watch any channel remotely using fallback tuner configuration.

Hi

You mean connecting your phone to the receiver at home,
But when a person is away from home, the receiver is switched off.
How do you do all this and if you don't mind please explain in detail,
And which VPN you use,
Some people understand quickly and some people understand late
Be happy,

No, I mean connecting a box I take with me on the road (I use a Maxytec Multibox now, used a VU+ Zero before), which connects to my receiver at home. I'm way to old to stare at a small phone screen, I want to use a proper TV...

My recording receiver is never switched off, so that is not an issue for me.

I use OpenVPN (client mode) on the box, which connects to my firewall at home. The firewall generates the correct config (opvn) for it, all I need to to is install it on the box. Once configured OpenVPN starts automatically when the box starts.

Configuring OpenVPN manually and in detail, especially if you don't have a server running, is a course in itself, that goes way beyond this forum.

Both should install and work if available for your box (wireguard isn't for every box).

What did you do, and what failed?

Wireguard is part of the linux kernel, it has no relation to any vendor. It needs a minimum kernel version (3.14 or higher), which is why it is not available on all boxes,

You can see here: https://wiki.openpli...Kernel_Versions which kernel version your box has.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Hi

Now I understand it's a kernel version issue.
I've tried openvpn I show you the picture won't it install too?

A picture of what?

OpenVPN is just a system package, it has no user interface, you need to configure it from the commandline.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
