I have accidentally deleted the default oscam.server file and I believe I will need it to get my Nagra card working. 

 

What are the default entries in the file?

Internal cardshare[edit]

In OpenPLi the softcam OScam is already set/configurated to do an internal cardshare between 2 boxes. By default OScam is configured to connect 2 boxes with "Mainreceiver" becoming the server and the “2nd_box” becoming the client (OSCam terminology calls this the reader). As the developers of OpenPLi don’t know which box you want to be the Mainreceiver and which one becomes the 2nd_box, OScam is configured for both. So you'll have to do 2 things on the one which becomes “2nd_box“ (OScam terminology calls this the reader).

By the way, is it possible to have 2 different oscams installed at the same time?

Yes. But only one will ever be active, Enigma doesn't support multiple softcams.

From today we offer three different oscam versions for the develop images.

You can choose between the different versions via softcam management, they all have their own configs so you do not overwrite settings from other installed Oscams.

OK, so I would need to replace my stable 9.0 with Develop to try it? 

What are differences between the 3 versions you have?

Make an autobackup from your release image on a USB disk. Flash develop, and answer yes when prompted to restore the backup.

 

The versions are

1. oscam, standard Oscam + support for HD+ Nagra cards
2. oscam-emu, standard oscam + emulator patch
3. oscam-cak, standard oscam + patch for M7 Nagra cards

Unfortunately the patches for 1 and 3 aren't compatible at the moment, nobody has put the effort in to merge them yet.

I have a question related to these parameters in reader section of oscam.server:

mhz = 450

cardmhz = 2700

Are these values dependant on the card or on the box?

If it is the box, then what values should be used for HD51 using CAID 1861 Nagra card?

That values depends on the box (the reader type) and from the card.

So you have to find a correct combination.

Maybe you have to read the oscam documentation about that parameters.

Flashed Xsarius Galaxy 4K with the 9.0 NB. Installed OScam-CAK7 which supposedly supports M7 cards. Installed my Canal-Digitaal reader with Nagra keys but no luck! Error message stating “card is not responding to CMD02/E command.

 

My Gigablue Trio 4K works absolutely fine with my keys in Nagra mode….

Does anyone know the correct MHz value for HD51 box?

 

For most boxes it is not relevant, as the hardware will dictate the speed of the reader.

 

It is also something not to play with, the old DM7000 did allow the reader to be programmed, and due to a typo I managed to get the chip so hot I melted through the card....

I assume it depends on the card.

Does anyone know the value for Nagra 1861 CAID?

By the way, is it possible to stop OSCAM for a while in order to replace an oscam binary with a different one via FTP?

I assume init 4 may not be enough? Or is it?

Stop it from the softcam Setup....

Or from OSCam webif

 

Or just replace the binary (you can do that even if it is running) and then just restart the oscam via Softcam Setup screen.
